  1. aravindmadis, I've posted this not just to demonstrate how good/bad I am, but thank you nevertheless ))
  2. There are many ways to hit high notes varying the head/chest, clean/raspy proportion. Belting is a chest based mixed voice...
  3. Well, mixed voice is a kind of cord closure which makes it possible to resonate both in head and in chest. I mean it's not as thick as in chest voice, at the same time it's not as thin as in head voice. Just my observation
  4. Imstillearning. First, belting wouldn't destroy your voice, if done correctly. Second, belting doesn't mean singing in chest just above the tenor high C, A4 and B4 are also good notes to be belt. Third, belting means chest plus head with strong chest resonance, no one can sing in chest only. And finally... I've been using this technique for years with no harm to my voice.
  5. Hey, man, very nice try! Don't worry. The lower parts sound good to me. The higher parts are sung in falsetto. You should aim yourself at a well-supported mixed voice if you want to get rid of this falsetto. And surely you'll be able to sing the song very good.
  6. The second chorus where you add some vibrato at the end of the high pars sounds better to me.
  7. Great cover, Felipe! Guys, it's an illusion that singing while sitting is much harder. I assure you
  8. Not bad, man! There are some pitchy places in the first verse. As for the choruses, I'd make it sound a bit more smooth. And yes, I hear that the choruses are hard for you to sing. Nevertheless, very good try.
  9. Cool. You seem to have let the song penetrate your heart. As for the timbre, to me it sounds a bit like Phil Collins.
  10. Yodels are not harmful, but voice cracks taking place when you are pushing - yes, they are.
  11. Thank you a lot. Gotta search for backers of Manowar, I'd love to sing something like Metal daze or Blood of my enemies.
  12. Thank you very much, Robert! I am from Kursk, an ancient russian city. It's approx. 500 km to the south from Moscow. I've been singing for 25 years. Never taken any voice lessons, but I used to take piano lessons when I was a schoolboy. I started to record cover songs about 5 years ago. It was my wife who first asked me if I could try to record something. Then I bought a Shure SM-58 mic and now he I am To be continued...
  13. Another cover... This time the song is "The crown and the ring" by Manowar.
  14. Hey, Olem, very good! But you should have made the voice a bit louder.
