  1. This turned out very well. Good covers of this classic never get old.
  2. Yep, Glorious Collision was the last one before the new one, which came out a little over a month ago. Henrik and Jonas came back to the band for their new one, "Hymns for the Broken". How far are you from their hometown of Gothenberg?
  3. You had me at "Evergrey cover". I am so high on this band at the moment, it's not even funny. If you don't have it already, I implore you to get their new album. It is an absolute masterpiece from start to finish. Anyway, really good job on this. It would be great to hear you tackle some of their other songs, as well.
  4. Man, that was outstanding. It sounded absolutely nothing like Steve Perry, and that's just fine. Your impeccable dynamics and choice to dress the song up your own way is what made it totally work here. I would venture to say you could sing this anywhere, and NO ONE would complain about it not being a clone of the original. Your rendition would stand on legs of its own. Now, MY only complaint is that you didn't finish the song!
  5. Indeed. As I said, it may sound hokey, but it's oh so true. People, places, and relationships will come and go in our lives, but music will always be there, and even if doesn't lead you to the success you desire, the satisfaction and release of it all is hard to beat if you really love what you're doing.
  6. I actually know quite a few DT fans who hate this song, yet I fell in love with it instantly. I don't understand the hate, frankly. But anyway, this was great to hear. Very well done.
  7. Sounds good, man. Don't ever give up on your music. It's the one thing you can always count on to be "there" for you. It may sound a little hokey, but it's true.
  8. Everything you've posted in the past has been interesting both lyrically and musically, and this delivers, as well. Nicely done.
  9. Very cool. I dig it. This will likely sound very strange, but this was like Peter Gabriel meets Rush meets Marillion to me. The fact that this is an original makes it all the more impressive. Great work.
  10. This kicked boatloads of ass, Chavie. Incredible vocals and interesting songwriting.
  11. Outstanding. Very reminiscent of Sarah's cover. Oh, and I should also mention, you said months back that you use Adobe Premiere for green screening. Well, I decided to give it a try, and it cut our rendering time in HALF! Needless to say, the old Pinnacle software has been ditched. So, thanks for that!
  12. I still find it fascinating that you've taken on such a wide range of genres with your covers, and not once have I felt you've made any dramatic stylistic changes to fit the song. Your voice simply works for everything. I feel that kind of "universal voice" is what everyone should strive for, instead of the exhausting task of essentially trying to be a "character singer", if that makes any sense. Very good job here.
  13. I definitely liked your version better. I'm not familiar with the song, but stylistically, it has an early Marillion feel to it.
