I'm not sure what you want. This sounds awesome, but it also doesn't seem appropriate for this kind of ballad. I think I know what you mean about hearing the "3 vocal stages", but it's only so noticeable to you because you can feel the change in sensation as you ascend. It does sound like one big voice to me, but I think your perception is being affected by how it feels. Honestly, for a metalesque rendition of this phrase in this key, I don't see how it could be done better. I would really like to hear you try it clean.

Cool dude. I dig Sam Smith. Going to go see him in March. How the high parts you are going into falsetto. Sam sings it very twangily, I don't know what sound you are going for, but it sounds like you want more closure. Some ironing out can be done on the verses, but overall you sound good, man.

Did it my own way. No super high notes, just tried to sound good. Did I succeed? Hope so. Yeah, there are some pitch things, but it was one take, while I read the chords and lyrics off ultimate-guitar.

This sounds really good. Besides some slight pronounciation issues, this was really good. I can't tell if there is autotune, if it's just the effect. Did you autotune this?

Okay. a lot of this is out of key, and what is not out is monotone. It was as if you were trapped between reading aloud, rap, and singing. The melody was a bit awkward, and more like a poetry recitation. I don't intend on being cruel. But there is a lot to work on here, if you are willing to work, you'll improve. I'll leave it to the more experienced forum members to help you with plan of attack.
