  1. About weight, that guy from Manowar, they say he is a bariton. Anyway, my voice is heavier* than his, and I am sure I a tenor. * and I try to take this weight away. I started mimicking Bruce Dickinson's voice and got a bad habit of making my voice heavy, so...
  2. I don't know. My voice is breathy, so when I hit A2 it's already very weak. It's the same for high notes, they have breathiness so won't sound good. I have 1 octave of bad sounding voice. hahaha Though it seems I'm a kind of low tenor, with passaggio between C-F. However when my chords are touching I can sing strong A2 and G2 maybe.
  3. Hi. I have the same problem. Breathy voice, which makes it sound weak and "ugly." It has always been like that. My mother has the same problem, even though her voice is stronger than mine. A uncle can't barely speak. So it seems to be genetics in my case. Went to some three doctors and they all said it's ok. I think they will say it's "ok" if the problem is not severe. However it makes difficult to speak in public, and sing. For the moment I will try the exercises, lets see if it improves. (people will remember I made a thread complaining about not having low notes... Well, even my "comfortable" ones are weak...) Hope the best for you all!
  4. Thanks for replies. Yeah, can mumble stuff bellow, till F# maybe... however its gonna sound unconnected. So I should learn/like to sing higher? Wish I was a baritone... lol
  5. Hi girls and guys, I'm new here. A little of history first... I always had a breathy tone, and tried to sing with that for the last 10 years. Well, it never worked, my voice wouldn't last one song. And even at that, it couldn't cut through and have agility. But I never gave up and searching google found that my problem was cord closure. Started doing exercises and everything changed. Now, my question. It's clear my voice is tenor, it gets strong at C3 and can go high. Though its heavy and metallic. The lowest note I can project is a Ab2. I would like to hit lower notes but it is very difficult and wont sound good. Am I a underdoer? Since a lot of tenors can get lower than me, even Michael Jackson. Thanks and happy holidays. PS.: I know that without recordings its difficult to avail anything... Just want to know your thoughts.
