I think you are concentrating too much on tone instead of the notes you are singing. Perhaps if you ease up on the tone and vibrato you are trying for the pitch will even itself out a little better. You do have the range for this song and it would sound pretty good if get a handle on the melody itself. "You need a strong foundation to reach the heights."
