TMV World Legacy Member richterscale Posted January 7, 2010 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted January 7, 2010 Hi, I'm new and I've uploaded two songs: "Haven't Met You Yet" by "Michael Bublé" and" Morning Sun" by "Robbie Williams" It would be really nice if you could listen two one or both songs and tell me if you like it or not and how I can improve. I know there are a lot of mistakes with the lyrics and so in the song "Morning Sun" but I thought it sounded even better than the other song. I'm writing too much sorry. Thanks for listening and commenting and have a nice day. I hope/think this is the link to my profile page?! http://www.themodernvocalist.com/profile/TobiasRichter P.S. There are so many great (really great) singers in that community, I'm not sure if I fit in there. :(
Administrator Robert Lunte Posted January 8, 2010 Administrator Share Posted January 8, 2010 You most certainly do fit in Tobi... The Modern Vocalist.com is for you my friend... You have a good voice... here are my suggestions. Blow more air... you need more energy behind your singing. Sing louder with more volume. Thats the first thing Id like to hear... if you can record this again with more energy, ill give it a listen. PS: Tell Joy , Robert said hi and Ill be in Germany in June... would like to see her again. TMV World Legacy Member richterscale Posted January 8, 2010 Author TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted January 8, 2010 Thanks for your answer. Do you mean use more air while producing the tone or better breathing? I think that I can't sing much louder. Perhaps the only problem is that the backing track is too loud. I was almost screaming. Or do I really have to sing even louder? Thanks for your nice answer and have a nice day.

TMV World Legacy Member chele1000 Posted January 8, 2010 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted January 8, 2010 Hi and Welcome! My explanation would be that the music is "very bright" and the singing does not match the music. The music makes the song sound like it's a very happy situation and therefore you need to sing it to match that. You need to place your mental attitude in the same mood and then your voice will sound "brighter" as well. This will give it the 'passion' it needs for the energy to come through. Hope that makes sense. Otherwise, the sound of the voice is good. Michele Rock on... __________ Michele :) Rock on..
TMV World Legacy Member vamacoustics Posted January 19, 2010 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted January 19, 2010 Hi there, it’s pretty good, fun song and I bet people would have that feel good sensation if you perform it live. Of course I can tell that English is not your native language. To me you really need to study each word and phrasing so that you enunciate the words better. I thought the morning sun was far better than the first song. You spoke the words a lot better and they were more understandable. I would love to hear you sing in your language. I bet it would be outstanding. You are very good I think...Definitely a soft hearted and emotional singer...I liked it... Not to be offensive thou, I hope that you understand what I am talking about... First song you open with "I am not surprised" for example I do not hear the "ED" at the end "Tuck myself out" I do not hear the "T" in "out", "I Get" I do not hear the "T" Work on finishing the words, look at the letters and be sure to sound them out. I do not want you to sound like you are forcing the letter pronunciations militaristic; but try to capture each word as full as you can and keep it soft and well rounded as you are. TMV World Legacy Member richterscale Posted January 19, 2010 Author TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted January 19, 2010 Thank you. I think I know why I don't pronounce the words right Before I got my microphone with a popfilter I used a singstar microphone to record my voice. There was a problem: When I sang and pronounced all those consonants and so it ruined the recording because of air and pops, so I tried not to sing the words that way and it didn't pop. Thanks for your comment, I hope that is the problem and I can fix it as soon as possible. And I'm surprised that I sound nice...I never thought that. :o
