This article on musicians health will go so much deeper than the typical avoid milk speak less that we are constantly told. There is so much more to a singer's health than these things.
First of all, you need to start thinking of yourself as a vocal athlete. And what does an athlete have to be? S/he has to be SPOT ON with everything outside of training, just as much as the training itself.
