Estef
Hello everyone, I found this website and I thought this was very interesting and could be useful for those of us that still don't have a very good control over knowing when we have over-exceeded our voices... http://www.voicedoctor.net/therapy/overdoer.html#swell The whole site is great, and there are links to Youtube videos and that... Thought it might be helpful!
Joanna
yeah, those "swelling tests" are great, they really keep you honest! I agree that this MD has put together a very useful site. Have heard him lecture too; good guy. Keep him in mind for checkups if you're near Portland OR.
Carol M
I have some diplophonia, but when I went to a local ENT I couldn't reproduce the sound. He did diagnose swelling..in here in BFE with no real singer ENTs and I emailed Dr. Thomas, but he said the same thing, if you can't reproduce the sound there's no use making a long trip to see him. It does seem to go away as I train my head voice and progress through the day..
