Contralto? Help? with audio clips

So technically speaking, I am a pianist and percussionist. But I sing in the church band and play piano. I know I have much to learn about vocal tone, vowels, ect. I'm also not really vocally trained. But the frustrating thing is I feel like my range does not fit most music. On a good day, I can sing from an A2-E5 or F5. But the high range is pushing it. The highest that is comfortable to sing is D5. And I'm female.

Does anyone else experience this? What are some good pieces of repertoire to work in this range?

Also, like I said, I'm not really a trained vocalist.  Please be constructive. I know there are a lot of things I do not do well. Please try to use comments that will help me improve. I try to watch videos online about vocal improvement. These are non edited recordings on my phone. I really appreciate it.

I would say you are a contralto -- it's important to note that classifying yourself as a contralto, mezzo-soprano, or soprano, etc. doesn't really have to do much with your range of singing but the quality and tone of your voice in different registers. The main qualities of being a contralto is that your voice can mimic the quality of a tenor in it's lower register. Diana Krall, Amy Winehouse, Fiona Apple are modern contralto singers.

Most pop music is in a high register. And it's all high-belting. But it's really important to note that what we hear on pop albums are the product of a lot of vocal work, a lot of practice, and recording techniques. They're EQed and singing through the best mics. It's not really a fair comparison to compare ourselves in the car jamming out to professional recordings.

Everyone's voice is different and unique and being a soprano vs. a contralto doesn't make you a better or worse singer. If you need to lower the key to sing the songs you want to sing, just do it. Just keep singing and training and practicing in ways that are healthy and comfortable for your voice.
