Very wise words. I'm as slack as the worst of them when it comes to breathing exercises. Hell, I wanna SING! But I have never regretted this focus, and in the last several months have seen the difference it makes in all those things he spoke about. The most obvious is tone quality, but stamina is important (who cares how good you sound if you can do it for 3 minutes a day?) and of course the ability to express yourself; isn't that what we're all really going for?
