TMV World Legacy Member Keith Posted February 29, 2012 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted February 29, 2012 Sounds like you are really straining to hit the upper notes. Straining is not good at all; if you feel like you are straining and have tension in your throat, stop singing and get some lessons immediatly. www.drop-head.com

TMV World Legacy Member devaitis Posted March 1, 2012 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted March 1, 2012 Do you really think that rasp is the most important thing? A little bit like Jonpall Definitely it is NOT. Try sing the chorus with clear head voice, and then add rasp. Cheers. Great song btw. TMV World Legacy Member Snejk Posted March 1, 2012 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted March 1, 2012 Noooo, not head voice! That sounds soooo bad for a song like this... Although Bon Jovi ruined his voice by singing the high chorus in a raspy chest voice I believe he set the mood for what a song like this demands... Healthy singing vs full attitude.. I sing the chorus in full overdrive but it sounds kinda shitty to be honest as it doesn't fit the song =/

TMV World Legacy Member Snejk Posted March 1, 2012 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted March 1, 2012 Devaitis, that guy is very good That's EXACTLY how my overdrive sounds in this song, I don't like it as it doesn't sound as rough and powerful as high chest... But everyone's got their own taste :p
TMV World Legacy Member devaitis Posted March 1, 2012 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted March 1, 2012 But everyone's got their own taste Yes, mostly matter of taste ( correct collocation?). TMV World Legacy Member Keith Posted March 1, 2012 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted March 1, 2012 High chest tones arent the healthiest notes in the world to sing. And low head tones are friggin very hard to master. I can't sing this song, so I really can't comment - other than what I just said. www.drop-head.com
