TMV World Legacy Member Jugulator Posted May 19, 2012 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted May 19, 2012 Really good! This stuff slightly reminds me one song by Bruce Dickinson I mean the song called "The Tower": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dSZWFG8E06c http://www.youtube.com/user/IgorJugulatorZotov
TMV World Legacy Member napoleonboot Posted May 19, 2012 Author TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted May 19, 2012 Thanks Jugulator I love all Iron Maiden's material, but I haven't heard any of Dickinson's solo work, I'll have to check it out. I'd love to have Dickinson's command of vibrato - I find vibrato doesn't come easily to me. I am more Paul Di'Anno I think. Can you or anyone else here point me to some advice on developing vibrato? TMV World Legacy Member Gordon Posted May 21, 2012 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted May 21, 2012 Cool, great song!! I love the "Sabbath-like" vibe you guys have going. Singing sounds great. See if your drummer would like to listen to some Bill Ward. That would be the perfect style for songs like this.
TMV World Legacy Member napoleonboot Posted May 21, 2012 Author TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted May 21, 2012 Thanks Gordon. Actually the drums were laid down before I tracked the vocals, and so the drummer wasnt sure what where the vocals would go or what style I would adopt . He is thinking of retracking now he has heard it, along the lines of what you suggest. :) George can often be found playing electric stringy things, and singing... TMV World Legacy Member napoleonboot Posted June 6, 2012 Author TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted June 6, 2012 Final mix so now done, so I have updated the link in the opening post and repeated here: http://www.reverbnation.com/play_now/song_13480948 This turned out pretty well, although it took me a few attempts to get the harmonies right on the chorus :) George can often be found playing electric stringy things, and singing...
