TMV World Legacy Member napoleonboot Posted June 16, 2012 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted June 16, 2012 http://www.reverbnation.com/play_now/song_13589075 As usual, constructive criticism welcome. "Lizard Men" is an original number, created with my friends at www.musicianscollaboration.com This is the first time I have laughed in a song! I am a Brit, but you will notice I pronounced Catacombs in the American way rather than the British way to make it rhyme with "bones". I didn't know it was pronounced differently in America, until our (American) lyricist commented on my first attempt. It's not a word you hear very often in normal conversation ;) George George can often be found playing electric stringy things, and singing... Administrator Robert Lunte Posted June 17, 2012 Administrator Share Posted June 17, 2012 Hi George, welcome to TMV World Forum btw... I enjoyed this song... its amusing. Love the "lizard man" back ups... When your singing, it seems to be grinding a little bit.. in other words.. you phonation has too much weight... I think if you kept singing like this, you could run into vocal problems and hurt your voice. There is something about it that is grinding that concerning... even though it may sound cool. I would recommend lightening the mass on your phonation and practice getting distortion with vocal distortion techniques that teach you how to make noise in the vocal tract, not by grinding tissue.
