Somehow this thread slipped past my radar. Good clip, Daniel! It's interesting to note that in your rock voice, you seem to have more rasp the higher you get, just like I said in my rock vocal exercise thread recently and just like I've heard many rock singers do. I've been feeling that sometimes if you put too heavy rasp on low notes, you can't get to the high ones. Makes sense?

Cool vid. I think the important thing is that each singer must find his/her "place" for the different styles they may want to sing.

For me, the relaxed almost speaking voice is something I use in a country song.

For a raspy sound, I think of relaxing, rather than focusing the note.

For a rattly sound, I let the uvula do it's vibrating thingy.
