Messa Di Voce on a lip roll... thoughts?

I've been doing this to warm up lately. I start with a soft lip bubble note and swell until it is fairly loud. I can feel it clearing the phelgm. I am just coming off a throat infection. Try it. Let me know what you think.

as far as i'm concerned, providing you have the requisite development in both musculatures and a lot of patience, there is no better exercise than the messa di voce....or any swelling exercise.

you litterally are walking your voice from one side to the other and back again.

bet that needs more explaining....lol!!!

Hi Bob.. not sure if you've already done this.. but can u post a clip of how u do the swelling exercises? I do them too and would like to hear if its the same as what ur doing?

Is there some way of figuring out if your chest and head musculature's are balanced? -

They are balance when you have no break. For instance I have to make myself break and even when I do slow descending slides from my highest pitch to my lowest I cannot tell where my "bridge" is located.
