Hello!

This is my vocal track from a rehearsal with my band, you can even hear them playing in the background, its surprising how much noise the Shure sm58 picks up. What do you guys think?

WARNING, the music in the first 5sec is low and when my vocals start it gets LOUD

Really good job, you seem to have nailed Fogerty's technique. I'm no vocalist coach but if I was supposed to input on something I think you're straining a little in some places. If you manage to attack the notes just slightly more relaxed I think that you might be able to open your voice up for more power and finish notes that you seem to be cutting off early.

I really enjoyed that cover. Fogerty is a vocalist legend in my eyes, and you sound alot like him!

I agree, good job. And you do it less nasal than JF. Interesting history of the band. John separated from them a long time ago. However, he still owns the name. So the band reformed as Creedence Clearwater Revisited and hired another singer John, who sounds eerily similar to the original John. I have seen CCR a few times over the past 20 years, usually at oldies fest, especially when they were playing at the Lone Star Park (a horse racing track) in Grand Prairie.

I love this song, they always dedicate it the military vets in the audience.

Kudos to the drummer. Dude is outstanding and I really liked the double-time in the bridge.
