TMV World Legacy Member Cayden29 Posted February 27, 2014 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted February 27, 2014 So I have posted on this multiple times and have gotten good feedback about my singing and how to make it better and I love yous guys for that! Even when I don't like the answer. xD' So I am going to post all of my songs, the 4 on sound cloud from which I am going to keep practicing on but which genre and technique do you think fits me the most? Some are really bad, some are eh but I want to know which one do you think suits me best? and if you really want to help, how can I develop my own technique from these songs? My newest one's that I never posted are Who am I to stand in your way and Team. https://soundcloud.com/cayden-sob/who-am-i-to-stand-in-your-way https://soundcloud.com/cayden-sob/team https://soundcloud.com/cayden-sob/bound-to-you https://soundcloud.com/cayden-sob/skyscraper Pleeease, I would appreciate A LOT of feedback. TMV World Legacy Member ronws Posted March 1, 2014 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted March 1, 2014 "Stand in your Way" - losing pitch in the chorus. You start out right but the intervals are wrong. I don't know the original, so I don't know if your voice matches that but your tone of voice sounds good for this song. "Team" - More pitch issues. You are okay when you are one pitch but the other pitches are escaping. I think you can't hear the music you are singing to. I have heard the original singer on another song. And while her group won an award or two, I am not a fan of her voice, which is an aesthetic choice on my part, not an issue of her technique. "Bound to You" - much better. I think, because, you lightened up for this, which allows your vibrato to come through. Pitch was good and you had good intervals. This is a match for your voice and style. A jazzy, torch song. Still a few pitch issues but not as much as the previous two. You also sound like you are feeling the song, in this one. On this, the pitch issues I think, come from when you go too heavy. Keep it light and melancholy and I think you will tune up. "Skyscraper" - I couldn't hear it, for some reason. Maybe later.
TMV World Legacy Member Cayden29 Posted March 4, 2014 Author TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted March 4, 2014 Oohs thank you! Yeah I agree with you actually and that is my favorite song and I really do connect with Xtina's songs, the feel of them much better than any other artist really. She does go heavy and I never payed attention but I can't go that heavy so I will work around that. Although a lot of people say I'm out of tune with that song and are extremely pitchy and I kind of agree but certain parts of the song, you are right my vibrato comes through and it sounds nice I just don't know how to do that with other songs. :I Ahh oh well. Thank you for your response. n_n
