Newboi
Hi everyone, I've been told my tone is nasal so how do I incorporate my diaphragm into my singing? Any warmups or techniques? Thank you in advance
D.Starr
I'd focus more on using the abs to control the pressure within the thorax as well as "aiming" the sound up and back.
Adoney
Using your diaphragm is, in my technique at least, it's own form of singing. If you want to learn to sing with it you must sing loud and with resonance, and do not over-think it either. You can learn to control it over time, but it is it's own sensation outside of any technique from the starting point of speaking voice. And you will recognize it if you experience hiccups after over-singing. This is the inevitable result of exhausting your diaphragm.
Felipe Carvalho
Im sorry but this does not make any sense, if your problem is nasality, experiment pinching your nose and maybe using a yawn to help keeping it oral. Lessons are a good idea. GL.
Newboi
Well if I put a link to a song then it may give people a better idea to the extent of the nasality
