  1. Oh, i'm becoming a little confused, so to clarify some things. Vision Divine's Michele Luppi doesnt use distortion. He's voice is light, and heady, and so pleasant to me.. Lost Horizonn's Daniel Heiman has a very tenory voice, more childy than Luppi, and what makes very interesting contrast within hes contrast. But Daniel uses he's pure voice 50% of the time, the healthy distorted 45%, and that breathy thing, that sounds painful, which couldn't becouse he still has this pure voice nowadays, 5% of the time, when he goes high. Let me show you some examples: Pure voice(from 0:53): Healthy Distorted(from 1:16): Breathy high(from 4:02): I wrote down when it goes interesting, but, i suggest to listen to the whole songs, these are masterpeaces... 1.Question now only on the Breathy high.. Healthy? Other question about health. Yesterday I sung a lot. starting with lot of lipbubbles, than Raise me Up, the Westlife version, than Eye of the Tiger, than to that vision divine song slowly, than to Helloween - How many tears.. Huh, i hardly found my placements to that one. i think it was bit early yet. And today i feel a little strange. Dont have any problems with speaking. My voice was tired , but not breathy, yesterday and today, and didnt hurt, only i feel my whole neck uhm.., heavy and strangely full. my singing voice is clean, nothing breathy, but its a little to sing, everithing is weighty, and too clean, uhm, heavily clean.. so i couldnt sing today well. 2.Could it be a sign of something really really bad (way to nodule) ot is it just a simple tiredness? Ohm..., VIDEOHERE, 3.that sustained breath, refers to hissing the air out as long as i can? Otherwise... Barbara Streisand is great chele1000... Good luck to you with the song too.
  2. Huh, is just done my exam of mathematical analysis... Back to singing I'm so thankful, for all of your replies Yes, the inhalation sensation, that was what Vendera says a lot...yes, now i remember... Lastly i was listening to the two albums of Lost Horizon, -wow...-. It's singer uses a very breathy, but powerful tone when he goes for a scream(or just that is what i hear through my cheap earphones... ) and it doesnt seems very "inhaled" to me, it sounds very forward.. So i dont have to call the doctor for a lung transplantation, well... The advice with singing it slowly helps a lot, but I'm still too far away from that song... Any more recommendations? For example with the breathing excersizes This is what i do: -Deep breathing for a while. -Deep breathing to the stomach. -Leaning backward, and strech with full of air. -Breath in through straw. -Breath out through the straw slawly. -Blowing the straw, that i prevoiusly closed with my fingers.(Actually holding a strang blowing muscle structure in the stomach, for static excersise) -Blowing all of the air out, and hold it, not locking throat -Breathe in fully, and when i couldnt suck in more air, keeping the throat the nose, and all opened, and keep breathing in(yes i cannot more, but its a static muscle excersise too) -Then holding breath simply Is it ridiculous? Too much? Or simply nonsense? What do you think? Thank you again, for helping me immediatly, and helping me for friendship... Thank you, and bye Arnold
  3. Good night (at least for me ) I have been singing for several years now, doing well with easy musical songs, and quet well with the Kiske - Helloween songs. I am a TMV reader since long time ago ... (uh, bad english.., sorry..) After several weeks of pause in singing, I'm on building back the vocal aparatus. Firstly started running, breathing exercises, breathing through straw, etc, end than vocalising... And the next target: Vision Divine.... Aaaaaaaaaah!!! Why Luppi Why? watch this and comment please... What do i need for that? Actually he sing very light in the chorus, but weighty on the last long note(20 secs?)... I feel that im running out of breath during chorus, and doesnt matter how hard i support, and light i try to sing, its not the same... Possible that i have too small lungs? Have i got any chance to have a bigger one? Please wright something, and thank you for replies, and bye, Arnold
  4. Thank You for the answers. But i think, becouse of my infantile style of writing, i was misunderstood. I can sing these songs. I can perform they for a little bit of time now. I'm a tmv reader for two years:), and i learned, and totally understood all the jargon that you guys were saying, and i know it was a long journey, to arrive here. I now all the stuff around the chest/head thing, the head is a register falsett is a timbre, the inhalation sensation, where is the soft palate, as you go up think down, as you ascend decrease volume, and air... But i arrived to a next step. I want to perfectly crystallize my Kiske voice:) while i became familiar whit my own voice. What now i want, is that BARKING DOG sounding on these HYPER LONG notes, on that CRAZY VOWEL, which i can't describe in english, and its between e and o. That is why i asked the question, and hope i helped you, to help me:) Thank you again for all the stuff you taught me. Arnold
  5. Hi there, Hello modern vocalist I'm sing have been singing for two years now. Started to feel comfortabel in all of the old Kiske Helloween songs. That is my favourite band, and Kiske is my all time best singer, and also the one becouse of whom i started practice singing. Oh how much i love Kiske's voice.... So now i ultimatle can relax out the songs of me. Lots of training, vocalising, healthy food, sports, good conscience, and a lot of straw-breathing what i've been doing for this. BUT still there are some notes, i simply cant understand. I realize, that there are many laryngeal configurations in the head, and at those notes, i just cant elect the proper, and cant elect the appropriate amount of pressure, and volume. I slowly noticed, that he has a rare technique, and a strange, perhaps nasal voice, when he sings higher, but quieter. Also noticed, that the compressed and mastered vocals confuse me. So now i'll give the video, and the voice i wanted, and please instructors tell me the laryngeal configurations, the volume, and support, the (mixed, chesty, rainforced falsett) stuff, and the appropiate vowel, and how much i have to open the mouth, so write everiything in a very detailed way. I. Fagle Fly Free: Last two notes. From 4:46 . Here is simply lose air. He does for an eternity, i can do it another way, for 5 seconds.... Help me... II. I want out: From 3:55 19 seconds aof what the heck... What's this? HOW? Whyyyyyy? A can't train more, if i do not no what to train. Than from 4:16 to 4:26. Its a little bit easier to me. But why? This is hard and bad, but why it seems easire to me? III. Mankind: 5:19 High chorus. That was the point i noticed, i have to leave pulling chest, and sit in my head fuller.... I hope you got what i meant But still not sure about it it is so strange.. IV. How many tears: 7:20 Pulled head or rainforced falsett? V. Dr. Stein 4:41 (last but one "time is right"). i can hit it in a strange wide-wide open littlebit nasal voice. Thats for now I will post cuestions more, if i get some more. Please help I've been trying theese, and while all got closer and better, those notes stagnate. Lack of air, short notes i cant understand thank you with a lot of letters, Ferencz Arnold (Arnold is first name)
  6. After two weeks of work far away from home, I finally started my sessions again, and certainly started to sing. Terrifying... After a half an hour of warm up, and some easy pop songs, I went for my favourite Helloween ones. I wasn't sore, dry or strained, but I sounded like the guys from Jonas Brothers(not an offense, just it wasn't my goal). It wasn't aching just you know, couldn't open up, and had no air enough. It took me 3-4 days to recuperate. After every 3-4 days off, I always have those terrible days to get in shape. The question is: How can you anticipate those recuperation days? - How can you keep your voice in shape without massive vocalising, and singing on your top - What are the main reasons of losing the voice (diaphragm weakness, forgetting the muscle-control)? -What are the best non vocal exercises that you can do on a vacation? -Plan two daily schedules for vacation. 1. if you are in a town, and some easy humming is in game, 2. If you are in a room with 5 other guys, so you cant really vocalise. Maybe jogging, more bullfrogs, or something can help. Please help, i cant live through again those bad days.. Thank you beforehand for the answers.. Arnold
