  1. whoa, sorry to hear about that Bugma. Can you talk to your Doctor and get a different medication? Not sure if this will help in your case, but an exercise I used to do to improve transitioning across notes is: - Sing from the letter E to H, starting slowly and quietly – gradually building volume as you cross from one vowel to the next - Repeat the exercise, singing from E to H again. Only this time, alternate and change pitch between every vowel - Repeat the exercise, singing from E to O - Repeat the exercise, singing from E to O. Again, alternate and change pitch between every vowel. I hope things get better for you!
  2. Practicing an exercise to manipulate the soft and hard palette within the mouth has helped me out quite a bit in bridging. Essentially: * Take a deep breath * Pick a comfortable range and sing the alphabet from A – Z with your teeth clenched together. * Repeat the exercise alphabet, only this time with your teeth slightly apart * Sing the alphabet with the jaw pulled back * Sing the alphabet with your jaw pulled back as far as possible * Sing the alphabet with your chin raise as high as possible * Sing the alphabet with your chin moved as forward as possible I know its kinda basic, but its helped me develop a better understanding of mouth positioning to smooth out those transition points.

  4. HAHA, alot of debate on the rankings. But this is a pretty good list. Kudos to you VIDEOHERE
  5. wow congrats on the weightloss and turning your life around, James. I've also find that a healthy diet really makes a big impact on my singing voice. Do you mind sharing what types of food you feel have made the biggest improvement to your voice?
  6. whoa that was deep. but whats wrong with singing like a girl? :P
  7. practicing 5-6 days a week seems pretty intense. My former vocal coaches have always cautioned me against overtraining for fear of damaging my vocal cords. But I suppose that as long as your throat doesn't hurt and your voice isn't hoarse, you're good?
  8. Hello all! I'm new to this site, and this is actually the first time I've heard of the CVT and Vendera breathing methods. Is that the same as breathing with your diaphragm? Does anyone have any video links they can recommend for a newcomer? :D
