  1. Hi! Any other thoughts about what I could be doing to get vocally ready to record my first album? Blessings and Balance, Ernest
  2. Ron, Have you tried "Project--Align Tracks" in Audacity? You have several options, mine is using the cursor to drag whichever track is not in sync into the right vertical alignment. It sounds like you have a latency problem with your sound card. It takes time for the audio signal to get from your mic, through the analog to digital converter, so if you don't have a fast interface your recorded voice will lag behind the backing track when recorded. It will sound fine while you are recording. But off in the playback. I hope this helps. Blessings and Balance, Ernest
  3. http://www.reverbnation.com/#!/ernestwhaley Is where I have some of the songs that will be on the CD. If you have a moment please take a listen and let me know what style of singing seems to suit me best. Thank you for the feedback so far, and if you hear specific qualities I should work on, feel free to let me know! Blessings and Balance, Ernest
  4. Thank you for those kind words Ron. I am working on getting the CD done, and will most certainly start vocalizing more to get my range back. Blessings and Balance, Ernest
  5. Thank you Robert. I don't do any vocalizing, except occasionally in my car on the way to and from work. Mainly long vowels, going up and down the scale. So as you can hear my voice is not as polished, and well mannered as it could be. I was hoping to get some feedback on how my voice was or was not working in the context of the songs, as you may have heard, my songs cut across a lot of genres. Any and all tips would be appreciated. Blessings and Balance, Ernest
