  1. I don't believe in God, but if he exists You should receive everything You want in life! Thank You Thank You Thank You for that amazing paragraph. I've always taken my time on other Forums to write people huge paragraphs on certain topics to help them. Now this is where Karma comes in play. The facts You mentioned are already helping me a lot mentally. THANKS AGAIN!
  2. Okay, I'm praying for some time so I can record a sample and show You guys. Thanks for all the reponses!
  3. Not to sound rude, but I totally understand the concept of mix. The thing is though, I sing in mixed, BUT I'd love to see a demonstration on how You can add "power" to it more. And what are great techniques for "long" high notes.
  4. Okay, alright.. So, there are thousands of videos and websites on the internet that try to teach You the "Mixed Voice". Now, I very much understand Chest Voice, Mixed Voice, and Falsetto. The only range I have not explored is "Whistle", anyhow. Here is an example of a video that teaches the "Mix": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ckhT3dGYK9Y Well, I am 100% capable of creating such "Mix" sound like this "teacher" is doing. The ultimate question now is; HOW can I apply that and achieve something like in the following two videos: 0:57 - Bb4 (Weeeee...) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DyifjAr826s 1:17 I want to see and listen to a video or SOMEONE who DEMONSTRATES how the mixed voice achieves such "powerful" notes in mixed, AND how to sing "full" notes, meaning "long" notes.. What is the "approach"? Larynx positioned where? Lots of air? Less air? More less pressure? I've been using chest/belting to achieve LONG high notes (above F#4), but I wanna use mix to not harm my voice. For some ODD reason I can hit (short) A4's notes NO problem, like in here for example: 1:11 BUT I would not be able to sing a FULL/LONG note like at 3:42 (same video). I started doing something wrong-what could it be though?
  5. First of all I would like to thank everyone for their responses. I very often sing into my condenser as I have my headphones on. I'm also right next to my piano to sing up & down scales or check on which notes I'm singing. I'll try to record some examples later for you guys. Thanks again!
  6. What happened was; I took almost a year off from training steadily & when I got back into about 4 months ago, I was doing amazingly well, but it only lasted for about a month. I feel extremely desperate, because I never had voice issues more than just a few days in the past. I'd need to know what differs in OPERATIC singing & Rock/Pop singing. I still have my range in OPERATIC voice, but I'm suddenly only LIMITED to Baritone range when I sing Rock
  7. They CAN be made, does not mean in every case though. Listen to Freddie Mercury before 1972-3. Then listen to Queen's Live Aid in 1985. You will be amazed! He is debated to be the best male tenor/Rock singer of the 20th century.
  8. Hey everyone. So, in the last few months I've been suffering from "something" that does not allow me to sing full (long) high notes anymore. I either crack or sound awkward, which did NOT use to be the case. What's funny though; if I sing high Tenor-ranging notes in an OPERATIC way, it's no big deal at all! I could not even be warmed up & sing up to an Eb5. What is it that differs in OPERATIC singing from Pop/Rock singing??????? I need to know so I can work on fixing my frustrating issue here =/ I've tried different warm-up excessive, the way I position my tongue when singing long/full high notes. Everything! It's like-I've unlearned singing high Rock/Pop. By "high" I mean chest notes passing "F4".
  9. Hey guys. I had a big thread not too long ago on here regards my vocal issue. Now, does anybody know what could be wrong; I can sing sing high chest voice notes (ranging from F4-C5) in short notes, but if I wanted to sing them in full notes (4 beats for example), my voice cracks =/ I used to be able to do it without any issues. What could be the issue?
  10. Thank you sooo much for your caring response-it is truly appreciated! Well, I used to try to sound like other singers, but that is in the past. I'd love to hit my high notes without cracking, that's all =/ I've never ever cracked for longer than 2 days maybe, but this time it's almost a month now. I would think that if I had vocal nodules from all the singing, then my "entire" voice would be cracking and failing. But the fact that it's only certain vowels and just a certain chest voice range makes me believe that it just cannot be nodules. Would I be correct? Is there such thing as vocal damage for a certain part of your voice? If so, does it heal? Is there anything such as your voice maturing and during that time your voice is not up to everything? Anybody have a clue? Thanks again RONWS for your help
  11. I'm not Pavarotti, neither am I Freddie Mercury, but after many, many years of vocal practice & research, I was able to expand my baritone range to tenor with more confidence. As to expect from a tenor, I'm also very, very confident with different types of voices (falsetto etc.) Now, the past year did not give me too much space for vocal practicing, but when I really got into it again a few months ago, following happened: It took me a few weeks to really warm up and get into it again. My range goes from ~E3 to C#5 & with my falsetto I could reach up to a B5. Luckily, I was even able to add another two notes & now secure a C#6. I know everyone has their bad days when it comes to singing, but I've been having huge problems with certain VOWELS in my tenor-range chest notes, and no matter what I try I can't fix it. What happens is; starting at around F#4 and going up to around B4, my "Ahh" vowel got EXTREMELY weak & I crack in a very uncontrolled way, and it just sounds awful. My "Ee" vowel also got weaker (not as extreme as my Ahh vowel though) & for example in "We are the Champions", I cannot hit the high "WEEE (Bb4) are the champions..." anymore. Everything else though & my falsetto are 100% fine. I feel almost that I lost my tenor ability & now I'm only limited to Baritone chest notes... What's strange, "Uhh" vowels are absolutely no problem to hit in terms of tenor chest notes. I really don't know how to help myself! Is such cracking linked to not warming up properly? I assume it might have to do with days where I was not too motivated to warm up a lot. I even do a lot of breath exercises and researched the most proper ways of how your jaw/tongue has to be placed when you sing those high "Ahh" vowels. About how much does a vocal nodule check-up cost in California? (if anything like that exists) Is there anything like a voice maturing & having those kind of symptoms? PS: A year ago I had absolutely no problem singing those wide open "Ahh" vowels. This is just so frustrating.. even the best warm-up routine does not help me.
