  1. @Gina Sorry it's taken so long to reply. You probably won't see this but my Internet has been down now for quite a while so this is the first chance to post this. Yes I have been told to raise my volume and will I? NO! Well yes I will but I should probably stop recording at night. I have no idea why but hearing to go back to the basics is comforting do thank you for that. Thanks again and I hope to improve.
  2. I named it that because I got 4, yes count them 4, videos. I just went all out because I feel as if I've done as much as I can do on my own without help. My dogs still can't talk so I turned to you guys. I had to get going with a rap song so here's the rap song I feel as if I can deliver with the most intensity as I have done in the shower, here's Wing$ by Macklemore: : The next song I picked for higher pitched. I would really love the most tips here so this is Breakeven by the script: : The next song I picked because it doesn't involve the notes that some other songs do but I absolutely love this song and think that it'll be considered a classic. Hey their Delilah: And finally the song I have litterally been singing since it came out however long ago that was. Unwritten by Natasha Bedinigfield: The other reason I'm doing this is that a show called The Voice is going on right now which is a singing competition but I think focuses on vocals more than shows like idol do. Well next year I'll be eligible {age wise} for the show and you have to be "good" to get to the blind auditions. Does anyone think I qualify for "good," or at least have potential to be good? I don't mean to drag on this much so thank you for any potential feedback that you may give. Thank you again for tolerating me, Codyknight22
  3. Forgive me if I'm being a little bit inpatient, but I'm still waiting for a critiquing reply. Is my raping just perfect? IF not please critique me.
  4. Everytime I screw up a video (because this maybe the 3 or 4th time I've done so) people either forget about it or think here's no video (my opinion, I have no idea what you think). So just something refresh it and to let remind people about this. Thanks.
  5. Well my rapping's so amazing you can hear it through my text and this was not at all me forgetting to post the clip. But here you go just in case:
  6. So I just now realized that the post showed who posted it next to the title so I won't by Codyknight22 this time. So this is me rapping Otherside by Mackelmore ft: Fences. A little bit of singing so some feedback on that as well please. But I'm open to criticism as always. Thanks, Codyknight22
  7. Nothing of too much importance in terms of singing, but I'll have an upload of a video soon I hope. But before I upload I just want to get this out, R.I.P Gilbert Sanchez (July 3rd 1930-December 5th 2012). You won't be forgotten nor will your story ever die Grandpa. I had to try and "lighten the load" everywhere I could and here's one of those places. I'd do the dog now, but I don't have enough control. You'll probably see a much bigger rant when I make the video. Dylan Sanchez (or Codyknight22)
  8. @Tommy, Wow I misinterpreted about half of your advice. I thought that you meant look at videos in the vocal technique section, and have a guide in my ear . I misunderstood so much of that, my bad. I'll start doing that, snoop around online to see what I can find on the wonderful world of youtube. Thanks Tommy, and this time, I know what you mean :P
  9. @Teodur I actually have a logitech headset, would that be a good idea to use? Also singing lessons are currently out for me because I go to a school that requires tuition, an expensive one, and my sister is currently in collage. Singing lessons are out so I'll resort to the greatest invention by mankind, youtube. Thanks you guys I'll start working.
  10. HAPPY THANKSGIVING {still is where I live}, if you live somewhere else, happy 4th Thursday/Friday of November. I decided to do She's Gone by Hall & Oats. But I didn't hear it from them, I heard it from a vocal innovator on a TV show called the Voice, named Nicolas David. I'll post his version as well, but I loved it so much I choose to do it. Also I'll post the studio version of his song. Oh yeah give me feedback on my version as well. Nicolas David vs. Todd Kesler {Voice Battle Rounds}: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zXsaqfVEtng Nicolas David {Solo Studio Version}: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a3xxSxEFdms My Version: I did use a backing track, but it was the studio version of the song on iTunes. Thanks and give me lots of feedback, and did my nasal comeback because I think it almost did. Happy Thanksgiving, Codyknight22
  11. But you can do everything that you can do, whatever that is. And it will be unique and special. This has absolutely nothing to do with this post but I just want to see if I can get the quote thing to work. Thanks MrBounce for saying that, because I feel almost like a coward for doing this in secret. Also being an American who listens to the radio at all, I have heard this song millions of times. But I've never realized how hard it is to sing this song until fairly recently. Thank god puberty hasn't hit fully yet. Tommy, the shower is my practice session, so don't diss it. And Ron, that advice to MrBounce actually I can relate to. I spent a very long time running away from my voice, trying to change it, trying to add more nasal, less nasal, more deep, more high. That was my first 4 videos. Now I just used my voice, but changed the melodicness to it. Finally it came out fairly well. But the point is if you spend too much time running away from your voice and singing, and you want to sing, you go nowhere. I'm lucky enough to of have found this website so fast and I know that they were able to tell me that. Here I go rambling again, but I feel like this post has some substance. I look forward to your next post MrBounce. And don't run from your voice, that's the biggest mistake one can make.
  12. So, did you spike your parents' punch? just kidding. No I did not. My dads out of town and my mom works from 4 {morning} to 5 {afternoon}. I didn't have too this time. Now I feel like a jerk...
  13. Thanks Ron. Also may I just say that it took me about 5 million years to figure out this link thing. I'm happy that this worked out well, and I was thinking of maybe doing "She's Gone" by Hall & Oats. I heard a cover of this song by Nicolas David and i fell in love with it. I think I have a good voice for it and do you think is a good idea? But thanks for the feedback as always Ron.
