  1. Hi! Thanks for the reply! I don't really know what "Accuracy of intonation on the ascending major 6ths" means. Is there a video or something that explains/demonstrates this? Thanks!
  2. Hi again! I've uploaded a new song that I think is a bit harder to sing. I'm not very good at singing higher notes; I feel my voice is a lot "weaker" if that's the right way to put it. Anyways, here's the post if you'd like to hear and comment. Thanks! http://themodernvocalist.punbb-hosting.com/viewtopic.php?id=9868
  3. Hi! Uploaded a cover of "All Of Me" by John Legend earlier, and you guys wanted to hear something else than a slow "mainstream" song. So I thought I'd cover Beat This Summer by Brad Paisley. Unfortunately I lost some audio (thanks Garageband...) so I only have the chorus. Please tell me what you think! 4. Thanks for the replies! I will work on a more "interesting" song and upload a cover as soon as I get the chance! :)
  5. Thanks for the reply. I had a cold when I recorded this so my throat was a bit sore after sining a couple of songs. But usually I can sing like this for a couple of hours without any problem. I'll upload a new clip with a harder song so you can compare, when I get the chance.
  6. Hi! So I posted the following on "Critique My Singing", but didn't get any help.. Would you mind helping me out a little bit? --- I'm 18 years old and I live in Sweden! I'm not a singer really, I only sing for myself when I play the guitar, as guitar is my main instrument. So I don't have a clue about techniques or anything, so any help is appreciated! I have a cold right now, but I finally got time to record so here it is. Vocaroo doesn't have the best quality as I guess you all know. http://vocaroo.com/i/s0xPgQaTf1Ku Thanks! :)

  8. Thank you for replying! I don't really have the money to take vocal classes right now, but I do want to try to become better by myself. I'll try to post more songs later! Thanks again!
  9. Hi! So basically the title says it all. I wonder if I have a chance at being a good singer, and if so what do I need to do. I did this in one take as I had little time, and I know it's not very good (Haven't sung for anyone before, only when I'm home alone). I'm 17 years old, live in Norway and I play the guitar. Have never sung or had any lessons before, so I'm completely fresh and just want to know if I "got something" to work with here. Thanks! Here's the little clip:
  10. Thanks for the comments and help! So, do you think my voice is good enough to be singing for a band? Me and some friends do want to make a band, but we can't find a singer. Is it time for me to step up and say "Well, I can try."? And the song I sing in the video is originally in the key of E, but I sing it in D. Does that mean that I should sing all songs that are in E (by the spesific artist) in D? The way I found out that I should sing in D was that I didn't listen to the song for an hour or more, and then began singing without music. By doing that, I sang the song in a key that felt natural for me to sing it in. I then played some chords on the guitar and found out that I was singing in D. The problem though, is that if I want to sing a song that I've recently heard, it won't work cause I'll begin singing in the original key. Do you have som tips and tricks on finding what key I'm supposed to sing a song in? And do you want me to post a new video of me singing another song or something? A song that'll maybe show my repertoire? Thanks! :)
  11. Thanks for the comment, eggplantbren! The thing is; I'm not very shy. I've just not sung infront of anyone yet, cause I didn't want to embarrass myself, in case I sounded terrible. Do you know of any exercises that may be good for me to do? Thanks again!
