Thank you, that is encouraging. I really love singing so knowing I'm heading in the right direction is a boost. I'll keep working on it.

Good point, it isn't an opera I'm singing so maybe I just need to stick with it and practise all I can! I've been dusting off some songs I've written from years ago and it's fun to rediscover them and sing them again.

I know there's a lot I have to work on with my singing but I am keen to be able to sing my own songs. Here is one I have recorded recently, I think one of my main issues is breath control? I play guitar and bass and am finding that learning to sing seems to be more subtle than learning to play an instrument...I can't afford lessons at the moment (I know I would benefit!) so at the moment any pointers would be really helpful - thank you.

I have sung a cover of this song and would be glad of any feedback to help me improve. I have some issues with sustaining notes and probably with breath control too. I have a feeling I need to get to work on some fundamental principles of singing and although I have had a handful of singing lessons, and would benefit from plenty more, I am not in a position to take lessons at the moment.
