  1. Cool man! i'd suggest working on developing a strong foundation in the chest, and then improve your range by doing lip rolls and other exercises which take strain off the voice. You'll find your range will be increased by so much once you "unlock" the use of head voice! it'll take your voice to a C5 most likely, well that's what it did for me. It will probably be very wimpy and weak to start off with but everybody's is! just keep working on that
  2. I would suggest starting a vocal exercise program, if you are already not doing so. You have tone and can hit the notes, but you need more support (something i need to work on too!) and more time to practice.
  3. Maybe it's just me, but are you straining? When you hit that E, it sounds like you're pulling chest up instead of incorporating the pharyngeal resonator and more head tone. It's fine, but if you sing any higher i fear it might hurt your voice. Maybe though, it's just my interpretation. You sing your range fine, try to hold the notes for longer though
  4. So i've been working on strengthening head voice - but it still is a bit airy? you'll hear it when i get to the climax. What do you think? i took on board the other's advice from a previous post, and have been focusing more on vibrato for dynamic contrast and effect. https://soundcloud.com/leebanana/blowers-daughter How can i sustain those high notes? And hit them with clarity? Do i just need more time? I find i'm getting better really quickly every week so this might not be a problem in a few months or so, but for now does everything sound on the right track?
  5. Thank you for the responses guys! these really help me out. I'm also finding it quite hard to sustain the notes in my bridge ; for e.g. when i sing an F# (above middle C) i feel like i am either belting it with chest (it actually doesn't hurt my throat at all) or singing it in head voice, which sounds really weak and airy. What to do?
  6. So i've been working through all the exercises every day for months now. What do you think? i know i have work to do, but are there any major flaws you can hear/tell? https://soundcloud.com/leebanana/ocean-mashup p.s. singing starts at 0:43 or so and ends around 3 mins.
