    The artist who sings it has a MJ, Prince, R Kelly style. And it wasn't a capella, the sound was just very low. And it's and R&B song. What does this mean exactly? And this? Thanks for all your help so far!

    The mic on my pc wasn't set- up properly and wasn't picking up the sounds, this one is louder.

    Thanks everybody for your responses. @ronws- I'm just kinda impatient at times, whatever. I don't what to do about the quality, I have a shitty Laptop mic, i think it sounds better on headphones though. Thanks for your input! @MDEW- I'll try to upload one asap @kickingtone- Thank you @FelipeCarvalho- How can I learn more about pitch and how to listen for it? @RHan- Yea, I'm a guy, and I have no idea who that is, lol, but thanks for the comment.

    Started to look into scales and pitch training vids and articles, starting to get and understanding of what they are and how to listen for them, thanks! Do I have potential to be a good singer, or no?

    Ok, I'm music illiterate, so how would I train myself to hear pitch? Are there any good online or literary resources where I can learn more about these sort of things?

    18 and I like R and B, like the 90's stuff. Maxwell, Joe, Donnel Jones, and currently enjoy listening the Weeknd.

    It would mean a lot if anyone would critique this short piece and suggest anything that needs working in my vocal technique. Thanks!

    I'm not too confident in my singing, and this is not my best- recorded it just now at night, didn't want to disturb anyone- so please critique and tell me what I should focus on fixing. And, if you can, suggest how I would go about fixing that. I have no musical experience and really have no idea where to start. At the end of this very short clip I fudge up a little.
