  1. I live in England and I am interested in learning 'classical voice' techniques. I have only found two tutors within travelling distance for me and I am confused who to choose from. One seems to have better qualifications and has a BA Degree in Classical Music. Whereas the other seems to have many Diploma certificates, and is also older and more experienced that the other tutor. Both don't seem to have any feedback either. Say like if I was to select at random one of these as my vocal tutor how would I know if I am learning well, or they are good at what they are teaching? As a complete novice, this is something I need to know. Thanks.
  2. There are a lot of people to choose from. One whom I know is certified as being good in her field of work and has actually taught well known singers is fully booked and all these others have no feed back. There is one individual in particular who listed her credentials as having a ''PG diploma Music Studies (specialising in opera)'' and another who had a ''BA Hons (1st Class) Music and Performance Arts'' - What do I need to know before hand before looking for a singing teacher? Someone said 'You need to look for a teacher who is teaching you vocal technique rather than just what to sing'' - But don't all teachers teach technique anyway? Looking forward to any helpful suggestions.
  3. What's the difference between opera vocal technique and classical vocal technique are they one and the same? I am looking for a vocal coach and some describe themselves as teaching opera whereas others both. Is there a difference?
  4. Hello. I am absolutely new to all of this and there are just some things which I would like clarification on. What I mainly want to know is what is the difference between classical and theatrical voices? Can a classical singer sing theatre or vice versa? I have seen some people saying they have trained in both - Are the two that far apart from one another? Thanks in advance for any helpful information. Is this a classical voice or a theatre voice:
