Hey MVW! My name's Emily...I've been a lyricist for 3 years now at a jazz publishing company writing for some of the great jazz cats today. I decided I didn't want to sit on the side lines anymore and need to start singing my own music again! I'm about to go into the studio to record a new EP with my Acoustic Folk Rock band The Coteries and would love some critique on my voice ie: Diction, Phrasing, Tone, Breath, Pitch. Thank you for the compliments! I'm an old soul Joan Baez and Joni Mitchell are idols of mine, if I could take even a small fraction of what they gave to the folk world well that would be satisfaction in itself. We're going to keep working hard and looking to record this summer.
