  1. Thanks for the info Owen, I might actually give it a go Do you reckon I can get up to a C5 belt someday with a proper training or do I aim too high
  2. Hello, I've got a question considering my vocal range.. As a male singer (20y/o) I haven't been trained professionally so far and I'm struggling to define my vocal type. I joined a choir and an A Capella group recently (as a bass) and there has been a noticeable improvement since, but I am still a bit confused. So: Lower register- F2 (maybe a forced Fb2) Higher register (chest)- F#4, G4 (a bit tricky to get it) Mixed- I am not sure if I am doing it right, but somehow I manage to get up to an A4,A#4 with what I believe is a mixed voice, even though most of the time it sounds heavily mixed towards head voice. Few times I have actually managed to get up to a B4/B#4 in an incredibly loud 'shouty' manner- not very pleasant in a quiet environment.. Falsetto- Easily getting up to an F5, with a proper warm-up I'm doing a G5 and in good days an A5 I seem to feel comfortable in my mid range and up to F#4 but then there's the awkward transition to a G4 which I can never do properly. My goal is to expand my range a bit more and develop my belting register, since that's what I enjoy doing. Any suggestions on my vocal type? Any suggestions how to expand my range? Thank you in advance, hope the topic didn't turn out to be extremely long and boring.
