  1. just try to sing "Happy" by pharell williams... Breath management, support, passage etc...
  2. sorry to interrupt guys... All the famous "bel canto" thing that anyone want to teach you is just good technique. The "bel canto" thing is really a business thing... Soft palate in "high position", good posture, right support, right vowels modifications etc etc... Those kind of teaching does have nothing to do with the style you are singing or what you want to achieve personally. It's just the "basis" of singing... Myles or anybody can achieve high skills singing... Just a matter of hours, years of practice and singing in live situation... Again sorry to interrupt....
  3. thanxs Lol, tomorrow: Conhillac corbieres, france Start 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm then the real show : 10h30pm 2:00 am ^^
  4. i've choose head voice, but i can assure you i wanted to check many things ^^. Training head voice is required for the passagio, belt techniques can't be used without good head voice and right formants, training twang and onset are absolutely necessary to train vocal effects like distortion... All of this can't be done without a warm up and to become a singer you have to stop training and start singing on stage for real... Just my 2 cents!
  5. Thanxs. The shows are 4h long... After comes the "rock"part with jet, acdc, deep purple, Metallica, queen etc.. this night i sas trying to get a lighter sound especially with the high head voice part. But doesnt seems to work that great...
  6. just warmup and tell them to go to hell! after all you're a singer u can do whatever u want to do! ;-)
  7. you know, if you have never been on tour, you can't really know where the problem can be from. It's not just a matter of technique or "unhealthy distortion" blablabla... Not enough sleep, force to sing even if you are ill just because you can't cancel the shows, emotional problems etc etc. All those things can also lead to vocal problems like nods..
  8. Hi there, Here's a video of me singing Counting Stars of One Republic. Sorry, there's some mistakes in there, i was tired, it was the 3rd hour of show so... Any comments/critiques welcome of course!!! See ya!
  9. Hi, it's a real interesting subject for me. As i've been hired as a lead singer now and i'm more a guitarist/singer. I've always felt comfortable singing with my guitar but still feel naked without it ^^. What i try to do is not to "overdo" (excuse my language i'm french) the moves. The biggest mistakes is to try to be Mickael Jackson or Timberlake... It's the second "season" for me and i'm still looking for the right attitude. The great thing is to see you recorded, and be sure to always keep in mind that the "impact" to the crowd is always better than the one recorded, the happy eyes and dancing crowd never lie! ^^ Here's one humble exemple of me on stage last week (sorry for the not-so-good singing, was tired and it was the 3rd hour of the show).
  10. Thanxs Bono. No nothing special for the moment. It's an old band that don't really need those things to sign contracts lol. But i will post things here as they come ;-)
  11. Really nice take! Did you practice SLS? you really sound like they recommend.
