  1. True counter tenors are really rare and counter tenors are stereotypically pretty easy to classify. They usually have high speaking voices so they might speak as high as a female (although even baritones can speak as high) That was a bad answer but I’m bad at explaining this stuff
  2. There (Im sick so they’re not the best) The pitch might be a bit off as well because my pitch still needs a bit of work
  3. Thank you! Let me know if she has any idea of your fach.
  4. I have them but I have no idea how to attach them here. Any help?
  5. Sure I’ll record it after school. I can do the higher notes aswell if you want.
  6. Yes I am with a coach but she couldn’t say. She said that I’m either a baritenor or a lyric tenor. So I’m just a hard person to classify.
  7. Yeah I’m training (I’m in a couple of musicals) and I’m aware that range doesn’t mean what vocal fach I’m in.
  8. @Gsoul82 Well I couldn’t right from the beginning. I needed to find my head voice and that unlocked a lot of my range. And I’m not trying to say that I’m the best singer in the world since range doesn’t mean anything as I’m sure you know.
  9. @JonJon I can squeak in the seventh octave but I’m not going to count them. I can easily sing a C6 in head voice and go to an A6 in whistle. And that isn’t even that rare.
  10. @Draven Grey Im just interested in it. And I do musical theatre so it’s kind of important aswell.
  11. I’ve just started properly singing and I’m interested that what vocal type do I have. So my chest voice extends down to a F2, but I can’t project it that well and it’s really breathy. At around A2 it starts getting stronger and brighter. My chest voice goes up to a F4 and my mix goes to a E5. My head voice can go to a C6 easily and to D6 but it takes more effort. So any opinions about what vocal type I am? edit: Yes I’m completely aware that this really doesn’t matter and that it’s hard to know without recordings. I’m not that daft but thank you anyways for pointing that out...
