  1. can someone critique my cover of "Rolling in the Deep" please? I'm practicing vocal runs/falsetto and would love any advice I can get please. A few things, At "We could've had it alllllll" my falsetto wavers every single time I try this. It's very low in my falsetto range but I can't switch to mixed voice that quickly. What is a god exercise that will help me transition quickly? I'm 20, male, and have been singing for about two years on and off. I think my breathing is okay at this point but I had some trouble breathing around the halfway point of this song until "We could've had it all". Thanks!
  2. Hi, so I have a hard time belting. A lot. It seems I can't figure out how to properly let the air flow or something. I was wondering if anyone could assist me in this dilemma, I even made a recording on youtube to help get a better understanding of what I'm doing and how to fix it. I did half of a song that represents me belting a few times and even if you see other issues that isn't belting, please point them out. I am finally asking for some help. I would appreciate some helpful feedback~
  3. Hi their, I'm looking for singers to collaborate with on tracks. Singers just need to be able to create, I can't fully producer 2, 3, 4 fully produced mastered tracks for them to choose from or knock back, time is precious. You need to know that a track started is not the same as a track finished. I'm constantly making track demos/shorts to give starting points for singers to choose from, then these tracks will adapt, sometimes change a lot to suite the singer. I do offer my stuff for sell in TV/Media so the vocals need to be original and not from a previous song, or it can't be sold, and the singers can not be signed or contracted to any 3rd parties (e.g. Agent, Label etc.) You can have an agent but if your contracted to them then again the music can't be sold. Companies who buy or lease the music are only interested original music who they deal with only one party/person. However if you have a signed contract which excludes them from your full rights and your full rights are intact then we can collaborate. Lyrics have to be original, no covers, copies of others work, no copying melodies etc, as these become flagged and 3rd party companies will try claim copyright. As a Singer you need to own Full Rights to your work, if your signed with a label or manager you need to check if you do or they can take a cut of your earnings or any work. I would enter into a contract per song and minus mastering costs if needed will share equal 50%-50% With me Producer and you the Singer. If any musicians are needed their percentage is dependant on their part in the song. e.g. if they do a bass link which is primaryly as big a part of the song then it would become a 3 way split. I'm a fair person and if singers later try to hold tracks to ransom to gain unfair bigger shares, the tracks will be dumped or deleted. If you only sing covers you should try sing to some of the demo's first and send me a clip of you singing. Thanks for reading this long post and hope to work with some of you soon, here is some track idea's needing vocals, remember these can be produced to something different. 6. Hi all! I was thinking of doing some recordings to put on Youtube, but I am a complete novice to recording - all I have is a 10 dollar mic I picked up at my local hardware shop. Needless to say it doesn't exactly record very well. What would I need to make a decent/semi-decent recording? I'm just doing this as a hobbyist so my budget is not much, perhaps in the 100-200 dollar range. A problem that I encounter with just using a mic is making sure I can record both the sound coming from my speakers and my voice as well. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!
  7. I want to join the choir in my school and I'm not sure what type of a singer I am (soprano, mezzo, alto etc.). I can sing okay low and also kind of high sometimes so I'm confused on what would be my optimal range... Any help would be appreciated! I'm relatively new to singing and I know my technique is far from perfect so any constructive critism is also welcome! My soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/tiinamaria Thanks!

    Because You Loved Me

I had been working on this song since last year - the climax "Because of you" isn't as full as I would like it to be, I guess since my voice thins out past Bb4, but I think the pitch is right for the most part. This key felt really comfortable for me though besides that part. I really like this Adult Contemporary stuff she did. Any and all feedback welcome. https://app.box.com/s/buvjmgr00xl5g1nl0ymqnwp7s1xtoh8z

I don't have troubles singing that, but my friends keep telling me I sound like a gay if I sing that way well I must confess it doesn't soung like a man, but I can hit those notes easily! And If go "chest" my larynx tighten and nothing goes right! What am I supposed to do? How can I chest the sound and make it more manly? Thanks in advance

    Harmonizing

Hey guys! I always wanted to learn how to harmonize and sing thirds! My friends who kinda knows theory but does not sing say to me that i do harmonize properly but i always do fourth's and not thirds. Here is a clip of me trying to sing thirds. Is that it?? If not do you know how can i practice this? https://app.box.com/s/7qnvanmicn1vaiokq4f4mbsvfi69sp2t NOTE: Pls dont review singing hahaha i did this 10 min ago just to show you if the notes are "relatively" correct... I broke on a few places cuz i wanted to use a light mass and it goes to A4 so thats kinda tricky for me P.s. it lasts 3min but i only sing first part for like 50sec
  13. Hey all! As a couple of months ago I told you, I am currently recovering from a nasty episode of GERD, and my voice has never felt as before. BUT, nothing will defeat my love for singing, so I've been training the hell out of my voice. I remember some time ago Felipe posted a cover of this song and it was so cool that I thought I'd tackle it sometime as a challenge. I spent like 6 hours editing and mixing, haha, so I hope you like it guys. And as a bonus, I'd also like to leave Abandoned by Kamelot . It is a very difficult song, but for totally different reasons than the other one. EDIT: Someone knows how to make it an embed :c ? In Forever and One, I mostly focus on vowel modifications. I try to keep the vowels as open as I can while curbing a lot, which leaves me vowels like AE, EH+EE and shades of UH all over the place. If you notice, almost all the more closed EH's around and above my passagio have a bit of EE, as it's pretty natural to me and it feels pretty comfortable In Abandoned, I focused mainly on the interpretation. Using a lot of dynamics, vibrato, and Roy Khan-ish stuff, haha. I will never have his voice, but I love how he interprets this kind of stuff. I hope you like it guys, and any opinion or suggestion you have I'd really appreciate it!
  14. ... not edited, never had singing lessons, recorded raw using Photo Booth app in Mac - Need your opinions Hello, I am doing a quick acoustical cover of Dancing On My Own by Robyn. I have never had any singing lessons, and this is NOT EDITED at all. I simply recorded it with Photo Booth app in my Macbook laptop while the backing track was played straight from Youtube. Please let me know what you think and what I can improve. I don't mind harsh comments at all. Thank you! The backing track was from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ueX2RjFSos
  15. Wrote and recorded a spooky little intro this morning, possibly to be included somewhere in my band's upcoming EP. Tell me what you think of technique, mixing, ect. http://vocaroo.com/i/s030h3kOoexJ
