  1. 2:01 "Out of breath and squalid, distilling cryptic fantasies I. Here in the bogs of poison daylight. Chase me down unheard-of footways. Take me with you, evening chum. And render us fables, both eternal. I'm not convinced; this ain't the holy land! Where outcasts reign and never grow old. And never die!"
  2. Hi everyone, I asked for feedback here over a year ago and really took the advice to heart! I've been practicing some more, but feel that I've kind of hit a wall with improvement. I want to become technically better and have a stronger voice (I feel I sound weak when I sing and I sound a bit flat) and I would like better vocal control. Any suggestions on what I could work on in particular? I'm open to any kind of constructive criticism since I want to get to the next level, thank you in advance to anyone responding! My Soundcloud:
  3. I've included 2 videos. Eden turn the page is to show my struggles and little wonders is to show strengths. I cant say i know what im doing technically and that's what i need y'alls help for. If there's anyone who can help me understand what I'm doing both right and wrong itd be so helpful. Thank you all for taking the time. QuesoMcpeso
  4. Hello, my 10 year old daughter is an aspiring singer. She is in voice lessons and has been in some musical theater productions as well. We understand she is not necessarily a "natural", but she does have the drive and desire and truly loves performing. Any thoughts or suggestions for improvements are welcomed to help her with her goal of becoming a singer one day? She has sung the National Anthem at a couple college sports events and a professional event. I am also including a link for one of her musical theater shows, Music Man. Thank you in advance! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XUg--tK829M (National Anthem) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B8lGocVKUHw (Goodnight my Someone)
  5. https://youtu.be/FxZZwxR6hyk https://youtu.be/M5ymDCllhd8 https://youtu.be/fKmR38DpgkA https://youtu.be/9EHat-NCseY I need to know if I sound good in tone and where I need to improve(vocal analysis). Also I don’t know if I’m a tenor or baritone.
  6. Hi, This is my tribute to the late dance music legend Avicii. Your invaluable feedback on the performance is appreciated. https://soundcloud.com/machaan/avicii-tribute Kindly like and repost if you think it's worth it. Cheers Machaan
  7. I'm Noah, I'm from New Zealand, and I'm almost 15. I've been singing for about 4 years now, mostly in the 3rd octave (My voice dropped relatively early, around 12). However, I'd like to build up some confidence in my upper register (above say G4), where up until now I've resorted to yelling (small clip provided) This threshold used to be a lot lower, close to E4, but over time this has moved up. What I think I know about my voice. Based on my dad's range and tone (we both have the same range, about D2-C6) I think I am a tenor, albeit slightly lower set. My passaggio seems to be between Eb4-G4 I'd like to develop a mixed coordination of some sort so I don't have to yell when singing notes in the upper 4th octave, and also to be able to connect my falsetto to my full voice. I've been working on this for a few months now, and I've found that I am able to slide smoothly between my chest voice and falsetto on a closed "oo" or "ii" vowel. This is only going up though (I can't slide bACK from falsetto to chest w/o breaking). I have also found another voice that is connected to my chest that I can take pretty high (goes up to C#5 on a good day, which is my highest yelled note; i've managed to get it to around an f5 on some occasions), but it is veRY VERY light (also an example provided). My question is: What exercises do I need to be using, how do I use them effectively, and what is this mysterious upper voice? Thank you (excuse the whistle at the beginning, i was messing around lol) Ballad Of Mona Lisa.mp4 Head Voice?.mp4
  8. Hi guys I'm really new to singing, I have sung (for fun) before but now I'm really starting to try because of my academic major (I will have to take classical voice lessons) I am an 17 year old male I "think" I'm a baritone but that's based mostly off of internet research. This is just a small voice excerpt of Michael Buble's - Feeling Good (Moved down to Abm) https://instaud.io/1Bvb If you could help assess my voice type and give any tips I'd appreciate it! Thanks!
  9. I have been learning to sing for two weeks so far. I need a little help figuring out how to make my voice sound better. The song I am singing is panic at the disco Time to Dance.
  10. Heres a little video my friend shot of me performing in the studio
  11. Hello, TMVW! Finally I found a forum that is active and help people out! It's nice to meet you, I'm Gedas. So the situation is this: I've been singing for like 3 months. I've been writing songs (Rapping) for like 4 or 5 years and used to do rap songs in my native language (I'm from Lithuania). Now I'm transfering my creative zone into English language. And since I love music itself, I want to learn as many aspects of them as possible (But taking one by one and making it to a professional level). Now I Work only on singing/speaking/rapping and writing songs, sometimes I pick up a guitar or synth. So the thing is this- I'll post a link for a private video where I sang my own wrote song (instrumental is made by Encore beatmaker). I just used it for a purpose of learning and creating, no final released products. And i wanted more opinions from other people, since the only two or three people that heard me singing are my vocal coach and one or two friends. Where does the beautiful sound/energy comes from? Or lets say- where I'm singing, what drains that energy and that sound? It doesn't feel like talking anymore but it's still not that energetic, beautiful resonant singing. Link: I'm working on my enunciation hard because ohhh boy, I used to fall back in my throat a little bit, mumble words , speak quiet and + I'm native Lithuanian. Every single critique is appreciated, I need to grow in best ways possible! P.S. I sound like inbetween talking/shouting and singing. Like I'm not speaking, neither I'm singing with beauty in the voice. Is it because I'm forcing my throat too much and not working my breathing efficiently if am using it at all?
  12. I have never sang before, or have taken it seriously and do not know how to sing properly. I don't really know anything about singing because it's something I never do, but my sister kept on playing 'Dangerous Woman' and the whole song got stuck in my head, so I sang to it. It's only 10 seconds of audio, but that's what memory was left on my phone. Do you think I have some talent? Is it something I should take up? I don't really have any hobbies so that's why I ask, kind of want to start doing things but I am only assessing where my strengths and weaknesses currently are at. Thanks for your response! 13. Hello I'd like you to judge my voice. Never had training but I sing for myself for 6-7 years, I like it but know my voice is amateur hehe so I've never sung in front of audience. Write what is bad. Maybe something is good. I must make a decision. If my voice is decent, I will do training. If my voice is awful, I won't waste time for singing, will give up and find new hobby. 14. Audio clip of me singing if you need it: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/229171533/Post%20On%20Forum.m4a Hello! So I've decided I wanna sing, and I need some help. Though I'm 18, I have a relatively high, young sounding speaking voice. What's odd about that is my range feels most comfortable singing the full range from bass to soprano. I know I have the potential to hit the higher notes, and I can, but when I do the notes sound really, REALLY flat, and I really want to learn to correct that. I found some tests online, and I can easily (without strain) go up to c6 but when I do, the notes between c5 and c6 sound so flat ;_; Can you guys give me some tips to help make it sound better?
  15. This is just a quick recording, Using what I call "Fake" voice. I am playing with a little rasp. While growing up and singing with relatives they would condemn me for NOT using "MY NATURAL" voice. So I got stuck thinking to "Fake it" was a wrong thing to do. I think that some of this is on the right path to "Singing" rather than what I was doing before and thinking that I was "Singing" using my "Natural" voice. So if you would .......... Point out what is "Right" rather than just saying it sucks and I need more lessons. Thanks.
  16. Hi guys, it's been a long time since a posted a song. So, yesterday I had some free time and recorded this as a warm-up. Even though I listened only once after recording, I already found a few rough or pitchy spots. Anyway, I was wondering if there is anything you guys like about it. Vocal was recorded in one take, then added compressor, EQ, Delay and reverb. Cheers.
  17. Hi guys! I just signed up for the premium membership and I am so excited to get advice and critiques from you all. I am very serious about my singing and I would like complete honesty when it comes to critiquing my voice. It has has always been my dream to be a recording artist and I really want to go on The Voice or a similar show. Over the past year or so, I have really been trying to develop a unique tone to my voice and I would like to know if it working for me or not and what can I do to improve? I can sing several styles and do different things to my voice for different effects. For the purpose of this post, I have a certain singing style that I would like critiqued, which is my "rock voice." Please be brutally honest and I would like a critique on both videos below.
