  1. So Ive been trying to learn how to sing on my own for a little over two years now. The improvement was noticeable at first but I haven't seen any improvement in the past year. Also I don't really like my overall tone so tips on that would be great also! https://vocaroo.com/i/s01pMRhyLQc0
  2. Hello, I'm not used to using my head voice at all and was hoping for some feedback on this. Many thanks! https://soundcloud.com/user-426295887/one-fine-day-shirelles-cover-by-paulina-butterfly
  3. My niece is 17 and wants to be a singer/performer. I have joined to get some feedback on her voice, both positive and constructive. I've already posted one of her recent performances (She Used to Be Mine from Waitress). This past weekend, she performed River Deep, Mountain High at a local teen cabaret (everyone sang songs from rock musicals). Please let me know what you think. Thanks!
  4. Yeah, so great course. A lot of useful info, like A LOT. But made great progress. Still not close to the level I'm aiming for, but its getting better. https://1drv.ms/u/s!Aswc74K62WP_5ESOLvajN6OkYCgK edit: this is me a year later: https://1drv.ms/u/s!Aswc74K62WP_5goazxrjnzlSY5Yi?e=9tZPmf Any feedback is welcome!
  5. just got some new PA gear and putting it to the test. what do you think? https://vocaroo.com/i/s1fgh3ergemi
  6. So technically speaking, I am a pianist and percussionist. But I sing in the church band and play piano. I know I have much to learn about vocal tone, vowels, ect. I'm also not really vocally trained. But the frustrating thing is I feel like my range does not fit most music. On a good day, I can sing from an A2-E5 or F5. But the high range is pushing it. The highest that is comfortable to sing is D5. And I'm female. Does anyone else experience this? What are some good pieces of repertoire to work in this range? Also, like I said, I'm not really a trained vocalist. Please be constructive. I know there are a lot of things I do not do well. Please try to use comments that will help me improve. I try to watch videos online about vocal improvement. These are non edited recordings on my phone. I really appreciate it. These links stream through the onedrive player btw, no download. 7. Hi! I'm new to singing, but I really have received much feedback on my voice. I'm a little lost in direction with what kind of songs I should go for or if I am in the wrong genre altogether? ill provide some links to some songs that I have tried. I'm really really inexperienced and uneducated with music. I've never been through any vocal lessons, and I haven't been through a music class in my life. The only reason I'm giving it a try is when im at a karaoke night at a bar a lot of people tell me that I should really get into it? Let me know what you think and if I should continue? Also, genre and/or song recommendations are also greatly appreciated. Any and all feedback is welcome. Song Links: 1. 11. Please review my vocals of Wicked Game cover: https://spaces.hightail.com/receive/bxVKaAvBHd Recorded using an acoustic guitar track from online. This was recorded by playing guitar track through a speaker and me singing through a microphone. No editing. Recorded in a room with iphone. Not professional. Just looking to see if I sound ok singing this song and if I should pursue it more to get better.
  12. Hello guys! I don't know anyone else to talk about this with, so I suppose people like you- who like to sing- would maybe understand me. I don't know if this is the right forum or even site to write this, but I'm giving it a try. Music and singing truly is what keeps me going, and it's always been a part of me, and truly what I define myself with. You can tell me I suck at playing piano, that I'm not funny, that I'm not good-looking, that I'm worthless etc etc and I'd be like "oh ok" but if you tell me I suck at singing- it will truly crush me and I would cry. And I don't cry about anything. That's how important singing is to me and how miserable I feel, because singing is truly the only way I can express myself - to myself. You see, I don't ever really sing in front anyone else. It's my own sacred ritual. And if I'm not even good at that... Truly what am I even living for? I'm too shy to do real life vocal training at this moment. But I've been doing random vocal exercises at home, but never found anything that really works. I feel like everything is a part of some plan that costs $10000 and they don't really give me anything more than that. SO I would appreciate hearing what you think I should be doing to improve my singing even a little. Like stable exercises that I can do daily. I know it sounds ignorant but I really don't want to hear that I should get over it or to stop doubting my worth based on my singing. Because I truly do and will never ever stop doing that. Just like a bird is made to fly I feel like singing is my flying. But my wings are broken. Just like my heart. I'm sorry if you clicked the video and didn't like it. I really thought I sounded OK on it and sent it to a friend who told me I was better at other things. I probably seem weak saying this but my heart is filled with sadness now. Thank you
  13. So what do you think? https://www.harmonycentral.com/forums/topic/1938383-survivor-eye-of-the-tiger-acoustic-version/ Do I have tallent? do I have what it takes? Or should I pack it all in before I make a fool out of myself (silly little man!)
  14. Hey there, I tried to sing that song which is overkill for me now, but will it be possible to sing it in the future for my voice type if i will practice? Am i tenor or baritone? Here is the record first couple https://picosong.com/wfBun/ Is my headvoice\falcetto terrible ? Maybe i Maybe you https://picosong.com/wP9pY/ Thanks!
  15. Hi. I am really bored being Baritone. I am not sure i'm a Baritone or Not. But i have totally un-trained voice and i have also, fry voice problem by Acidic reflux. I have damaged vocal cords but still i can sing. I don't know i have to chance to become Lyric tenor? Or i am a tenor or baritone? When my voice health before, my vocal range: Full chest: E2 (Very weak and force low note) up to A4-B4 and with force alot C5 Mixed chest: I don't know this technique so i don't know. Falsetto: Max note G5 i only know (But screaming) (And my falsetto is airy and dramatic sounds like very Mickey mouse tone) Head voice: Very weak but max note C5 probably. Here is my some cover tests: This recording when my voice is health... (Old a little bit)
  16. I came across this site and want to ask for feedback for my niece. She is 16, has been taking voice lessons for a couple of years, and wants to be a singer (preferably on Broadway). She just competed in a local talent show, and my sister got a recording of her song, "She Used to Be Mine" from Waitress. I would appreciate your reviews - both positive and constructive - so I can share them with her to help her continue to improve her talent. Thanks so much!
  17. Hi everyone, I've always loved to sing but I've always been shy to show it to the world. I had singing lessons in the past but once I started a university degree I stopped singing and focused on my degree. I am now stable in my job but this passion for singing has never gone away. Could you give me your feedback please? Thank you so much, this means the world to me. I have a youtube video singing a capella: And also some covers on SoundCloud:
  18. I don't know how to describe it but it's annoying it does it randomly. Is it because of poor chords closure (I have 2 cysts on the vocal chords)? https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-f2_iT-2gUlKpLx4-nzzMew12Xc1xGMM/view?usp=drivesdk
  19. This is my daughter at a karaoke event. She is passionate about musical theater. She also plays piano and writes her own songs. She has an amazing voice teacher but I'm looking for independent feedback on whether she has enough ability to pursue this professionally, which she wants. At 12 years old, I dont want to commit to the time and expense if this goal is unrealistic. Any feedback on technique or talent is appreciated!
  20. Hi I am working on a song. It’s a brief clip but I want to know if I can sing. Please give me an honest opinion. I can take criticism. Please give your opinion on the song too and if anybody would like to collaborate on it if there’s a tiny bit of potential. P.s: Sorry towards the end I kind of broke down Cold heart.m4a
  21. Hey all, I'm new. I've been trying to develop my breathing and keeping my throat open etc. I'm not asking for a full vocal review (but if you insist I'd be grateful. All I'm asking is what you think I should focus on for now - here's a link to me singing some EJ. I kind of forgot the chords halfway through and should have had lyrics. That aside, what do you think is the most obvious thing that I need to fix so I don't suck quite as much?
  22. Hi All, First of all this post is not about my voice but my friends. For the past 4 years we have been going to Benidorm and my friend Adam Matson has been singing in Karaoke bars and he gets so many people saying he should do something with his voice and I totally agree. I would like to post some links to some of his singing I uploaded to my youtube channel and would love to hear back what you think. I think he has an amazing voice with an incredible range. Let me know what you think. Thank you in advance. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rp8dkm8Z2pA&ab_channel=BladeEdge https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lNuN_eOaa00&ab_channel=BladeEdge https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6YxkIi3c8E&ab_channel=BladeEdge https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=myb7Y6TkF_E&ab_channel=BladeEdge I hope this does not break any forum rules posting external links to youtube but I would really like to feedback so I can show him him Andy
  23. I have always loved singing however never tried to purse it because I never thought I would improve, but recently I decided to follow my dreams and started taking up vocal lessons. It been 3 months since I've started professionally learning how to sing and I've seen significant changes, nevertheless I am still not satisfied with my singing and would like to know how I can improve it.
  24. Hello I have sang for years but i never know if i sound good or bad. My mother and some friends of mine think i sing good.
