Smoke machines

So yesterday I was singing at this club and the DJ thought it was a good idea to turn the smoke machine on for most of the night. I had no idea what this was gonna lead to...

I went through the first couple of songs just fine but very quickly my throat started getting dry I was drinking water constantly but that didn't help much... Little by little my voice started loosing clarity and became more and more "clouded". I lost the ability to project my voice and my volume kept dropping as the night went on. Had to keep turning my monitor up which had very little effect at all except getting more prone to feedback...

By the end of the first set I had no dynamic control over my voice, especially notes above E4 or so I had to sing full on so that I didn't crack horribly like a little teenager...

Just wanted to warn you guys ;)
