I don't know how to explain this.

Earlier today, I was practicing some singing (which I absolutely love to do) and I found something amazing. By mere chance, I discovered the optimal position for everything in my throat (I dont' know what all that consists of) and I sounded absolutely incredible (at least, in my opinion). Unfortunately, when I took a break and came back, I couldn't find that same positioning, and I still can't find it. I can tell that I can't find it because my vocal chords waver ever so slightly in pitch no matter what, but earlier, there was no hint of any deviance in pitch.

I'd really love some help on this one, as it seems to be an accidental discovery that may be the single answer that I am looking for. I was able to sing higher and clearer than I ever have before, and I loved it. So please, help out a fellow "shower singer" and offer me your advice and opinions.

Get ready, get set, GO!

How about head slightly forward so that a dropped jaw and smile are effortless?

This is easier for me to manage than standing on leg with head sidewise and one eye closed, though Ian Anderson could make it work.
