TMV World Legacy Member Quincy Posted January 29, 2011 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted January 29, 2011 Very good. I thought your tone was a great fit for this song.
TMV World Legacy Member ronws Posted January 30, 2011 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted January 30, 2011 Applause ... you sang this song your way, arranged it your way. And I dig the Emerson, Lake, and Palmer feelings here and there. I would have never thought to marry the two in a song, even though I had plans to do record this song, as I have been playing it since about 1980. Not that my version is good, mind you. Just one of my favorites to play and sing. And you re-arranged the melody to suit you, the sign of a singer, not just a copy artist. Is it a different "feeling" than the original? Sure. It's unique, as it ought to be. I like the light tone you used in this one and I'm impressed with some of the higher notes you hit. When I listened to your earlier recordings, I had you pegged as a solid baritone but now, I'm not so sure.
