People come up with the weirdest theories to explain it. I remember a guy that thought that chest resonance meant that the chest bones affected the sound for example. People believe the silliest stuff if they invest enough of themselves on it. Sing the sound forward and feel the vibration in the mask is just as silly sounding as the bones of the chest effecting sound. I guess that should be disregarded also? But if you do not at least try these silly sounding ideas you could miss out on an important part of vocal production. Some of the most respected singers and teachers describe support as the action you use when using the bathroom. Silly isn't it?
