Erdem Alsırt
Hi. I am really bored being Baritone. I am not sure i'm a Baritone or Not. But i have totally un-trained voice and i have also, fry voice problem by Acidic reflux. I have damaged vocal cords but still i can sing. I don't know i have to chance to become Lyric tenor? Or i am a tenor or baritone? When my voice health before, my vocal range: Full chest: E2 (Very weak and force low note) up to A4-B4 and with force alot C5 Mixed chest: I don't know this technique so i don't know. Falsetto: Max note G5 i only know (But screaming) (And my falsetto is airy and dramatic sounds like very Mickey mouse tone) Head voice: Very weak but max note C5 probably. Here is my some cover tests: This recording when my voice is health... (Old a little bit)
Felipe Carvalho
Took a listen to the first and last songs (Sia and Camilla). On both songs the lower verses are sounding nice: confident, good energy and clear. When the pitch starts to rise, it's audible that you are squeezing a bit to keep things together and your voice don't respond well anymore, not as clear and it's apparent that you push to go high, on both songs the same problem happen on the highest points, you turn into a very obvious falsetto. Ever took some voice lessons? About being baritone or tenor, your voice sounds light on the samples, and as you said you are not using a good approach for the mid-high area (what you call chesty mix), so it's like trying to sing without the last 7 or 8 semitones of your normal voice. Probably once you do that, it will be tenor. About the reflux... That indeed needs attention since it makes everything much harder to handle. Did you go to a doctor already? Following the recommendations? But I did hear the same coordination issues on both the before and after. Anyways in resume, take some lessons to figure out the middle area, think once you get some control there your concerns with having a too low of a voice will go away. chadherrella
you did very good on the low notes. need to keep the high notes relaxed too. also, you have to sing in phrases....like you if you are writing you will use periods and commas...same with singing, you have to execute your commas and periods when singing those phrases...this makes it sound professional, easy to listen to, and will preserve your voice. kickingtone
If you keep pushing your voice without any training, it can cause damage over time.
Stevie T
Your voice tone is good. Your singing is controlled at low notes. When you try to reach higher notes or registers, you are struggling. This can be fixed. You have a good potential. In your context, like other folks have suggested above, I'd also recommend you should take vocal lessons. There are techniques and exercises that will help you strengthen and have control over your multiple vocal registers (chest voice, head voice, mixed voice, falsetto). Plus they will help you increase your vocal range in a healthy and controlled manner. Whether you are baritone or tenor to start with, after you gain such a freedom, you will have a wide range of pitch and vocal tones to choose from and to enhance your singing. Regarding your acid reflux and vocal health, I hope you are taking enough care and vocal rest, plus not pushing too hard. Plenty of rest and hydration is important. For vocal lessons, definitely follow structured lessons that are prepared by a professional vocal coach. In-person lessons would be nice. However, there are good online or dvd training courses that are also highly effective.
