How to pitch when rehearsing

Hi guys, 

Hoping you can help, I'm really stuck, I'm in a covers band, as bass player and vocals, when we rehearse in the rehearsal room, I often record myself back and Im often flat in areas, however in the room it sounds in perfect pitch to my ears, but I'm really frustrated, does anyone have any ideas on how I can stay in pitch? Would blocking 1 ear be helpful? We've had a few gigs and everyone said I sound good, but I just don't think I do and it's making me really conscious and losing confidence, any tips would be great!
