TMV World Legacy Member Thielemans83 Posted May 26, 2011 TMV World Legacy Member Posted May 26, 2011 Hi! I've been practising a lot lately and Im about to start a band that plays somekind of country "flavoured" music. There's a lot of room for improvement in my singing and Im most uncertain about my sound, because to my ear it sounds very awkward. I'd like to have some honest feedback. Here are two short clips I made: http://www.mikseri.net/artists/testing123.134410.php
TMV World Legacy Member Quincy Posted May 26, 2011 TMV World Legacy Member Posted May 26, 2011 Sounds pretty good! You have a nice deep voice... ought to try a little Marty Robbins; something like "El Paso" or some Johnny Cash; gotta try "Ring of Fire". You would probably enjoy that! ;)
TMV World Legacy Member ronws Posted May 27, 2011 TMV World Legacy Member Posted May 27, 2011 Amazing. Judging from the website, you are not from America. Yet, you have Texas sound. Moreso than I have, I think. Way cool.
TMV World Legacy Member Thielemans83 Posted May 27, 2011 Author TMV World Legacy Member Posted May 27, 2011 Thanks for the feedback! I will record some country covers in future. Summer wine has crossed my mind earlier and I think I'll try that one next, thanks for the recommendation. By the way, Im from Finland. :)
TMV World Legacy Member ronws Posted May 28, 2011 TMV World Legacy Member Posted May 28, 2011 I do a country song in my set. "Live like you were dying" by Tim McGraw. I bet you could do a good version of that.
TMV World Legacy Member gno Posted May 28, 2011 TMV World Legacy Member Posted May 28, 2011 Sounds really good. Your voice is excellent. My Music:http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=897808
TMV World Legacy Member STONEKIND Posted May 31, 2011 TMV World Legacy Member Posted May 31, 2011 If Country can groOve.. This does. reminds me of a unique soundtrack to an obscure styled Quentin Tarantino film.
