How to achieve this?

Hey all i could do with some help with knowing what i should practice to achieve a certain type of voice im after.

So if you could post everthing thats is remotely useful at getting a sound similar to this, wether it be by saying different techniques that i could go off and have a look at or an in depth reply i would be very greatful.

Mojo: What do you like about them... what attracts you to their voices... what connects with your way of thinking about music?

Im not really sure how to describe it in technical singing terms, but i like the "rough" sounding vocals? If thats the right word.... Most of the music i listen to sound like this where it's not sung perfect but more broken and emotional with a bit of a rough/hoarse sounding voice.
