TMV World Legacy Member napoleonboot Posted August 18, 2011 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted August 18, 2011 I am in the late stages of work on this track "Atlas". This is my working mix -sorry for the count-in clicks!. http://www.box.net/shared/f85limvcd01lnu98otap Any pointers or advice you can give would be appreciated. Although this started out as prog rock, a friend pointed out that it feels a bit like something from a stage musical, somewhere between Tommy and Godspell!. TMV World Legacy Member gno Posted August 18, 2011 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted August 18, 2011 George - Sounds pretty good. I agree with your friend - it does have that "musical" feel to it. Almost a throwback to some of the 60's pre-prog rock bands. The harmonies are fine. The main vocals don't sound centered to me. When you get up to the D3 and above your vowels seem a bit spread. You're getting some nice rasp here and there. If you're interested in taking your voice to the next level I'd recommend purchasing one of the many vocal programs out there, or take a skype lesson. The mix sounds well balanced so far. My Music:http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=897808
