Can wail on guitar...but can't sing a lick!

Hi Goldy Here,

Been in Nashville for over 20 years. Helped many big country artists get airplay on radio. Decided to hire 2 of the best guitar teachers (2 distinct different teaching styles) to help me get to where I expected to be right now. My biggest problem has always been trying to sing. I have actually had the mike pulled away from me while onstage! I've always been a pretty good musician on a few other instruments, but for some reason, I still can't sing! Anyone out there that can recommend a true tried and tested course or maybe a teacher out there? Would appreciate any input.

I recommend dedication on any method you choose... what that will be is up to you, if you look around this forum you will find many coaches/methods.

Send them an email, tell them what it is you're looking for, it might take a while before you find the right one but it really is up to you.

The dedication part is indispensable though...

Hi Goldy,

You might like to check out Sophie Shear as well. http://www.sophieshear.com

I worked with her about 3 years ago and at the time she was a Brett Manning associate. Now she teaches her own method which I'm sure is better for the student since she doesn't just stick with one method if it doesn't work for a particular student.
