TMV World Legacy Member Keith Posted September 18, 2011 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted September 18, 2011 I gave singing "A Sailorman's Hymn" a shot. It's one take on a song that I had never heard untill I heard Mica sing it, so be gentle lol. Also, I know it's a tad "pitchy" in places, but I don't have time to make a perfect one. And the backups are too high for me to cover at the moment also. SO THERE! http://www.soundclick.com/player/single_player.cfm?songid=11058486&q=hi&newref=1 www.drop-head.com
TMV World Legacy Member ronws Posted September 19, 2011 TMV World Legacy Member Share Posted September 19, 2011 Good effort. What you think is pitichiness is from your slow rate of vibrato. Tighten it up and watch the pitchiness disappear. A little scratchy in the high notes. They're on pitch but would be stronger if you would allow yourself to resonate in your head. I gots me some envy, a little, for the depth of your low notes. You've got some warmth of baritonish flavor in your low notes that I don't get unless I get right up on the mic, and that is an auditory illusion.
