TMV World Legacy Member RFlaxfield Posted September 19, 2011 TMV World Legacy Member Posted September 19, 2011 It's been a few month since I last posted a track to be reviewed, so maybe I'm not really newbie anymore. (But I sing less than a year, so I consider that still to be newbie) So....did I improve? http://soundcloud.com/richard-flaxfield/body-and-soul
TMV World Legacy Member Jugulator Posted September 19, 2011 TMV World Legacy Member Posted September 19, 2011 That's great, man! You're not a newbie, noo Pay attention to higher notes to make them more supported. http://www.youtube.com/user/IgorJugulatorZotov
TMV World Legacy Member RFlaxfield Posted September 19, 2011 Author TMV World Legacy Member Posted September 19, 2011 Hey Jugulator, thank you for your comment. I know exactly what you mean, and I'll be working on that. Give me couple of months, and I'll be back at ye.
TMV World Legacy Member rofleren Posted September 19, 2011 TMV World Legacy Member Posted September 19, 2011 You're back, and even better this time! I just listened to it 6-7 times in a row and put it on my iPod. That's a compliment :D
TMV World Legacy Member ronws Posted September 20, 2011 TMV World Legacy Member Posted September 20, 2011 I didn't hear your first submission so I have no comparison for improvement. But I really liked this. I have an original ceramic pressing of Billy Holiday (for you young'ns, that's a phonograph, before they started using plastic. And this reminds me of that. In fact, totally spot on for keeping that phonograph hiss. That makes it real. In fact, I think any one should really hear the Billy Holiday recording to effectively judge yours. But that's just my aesthetic. I think there will always be a place for torch song singing.
TMV World Legacy Member RFlaxfield Posted September 20, 2011 Author TMV World Legacy Member Posted September 20, 2011 Hey rofleren and ronws, To be compared to Billie Holiday AND to be put on someones iPod IS a big compliment Than why can't I find any accompanying musicians? Oh well, I won't give up.
