TMV World Legacy Member Snejk Posted November 21, 2011 TMV World Legacy Member Posted November 21, 2011 So I was at work.. And while closing the coffeeshop I recorded this little thing, I like the song, unfortunately I don't know it too well, hence there is no third verse and I think the lyrics are a bit scrambled haha xD Anyway funny anecdote, while uploading this video to youtube through my iPhone I went to clean another area of the coffeeshop, took 2 minutes, when I got back my phone had been stolen... Haha... Well phoneless for 2 weeks now til my new iPhone 4S arrives I haven't listened to this yet since, well, I am too self-conscious, especially when I don't spend time doing 500 re-takes to make things sound good http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KeSNKwJiGHg
TMV World Legacy Member Keith Posted November 21, 2011 TMV World Legacy Member Posted November 21, 2011 Sounds good man! I use "StudioMini" for iPhone - works really well. Has 4 tracks, so u can do harmonies with yourself also! www.drop-head.com
TMV World Legacy Member Snejk Posted November 21, 2011 Author TMV World Legacy Member Posted November 21, 2011 Thanks! I will so get that app! I love harmonies ;D I just listened to the clip myself... Damn I'm off-pitch more than I'm on-pitch T_______________T
TMV World Legacy Member KillerKu Posted November 22, 2011 TMV World Legacy Member Posted November 22, 2011 I actually liked that quite a bit. You have a lot of the depth and resonance of a more classical sound, combined with just a bit of lighter soul kind of feel that sounds nice. It actually reminded me of a more polished version of Elvis when he did gospel, who also sang a great version of that song. I have a feeling you're less out of tune than you think and for acapella it was quite good. It's always easier to pitch with an instrument to keep you in check. Sometimes when you do something yourself, it's too easy to pick it apart with tiny flubs that most people wouldn't notice. I actually think an audience would likely respond pretty well to that. Maybe what I like the most, is your voice is polished, but not extremely polished. Those are often some of my favorite kinds of voices. No critique for you, because you're better than I was even when healthy on a technical level. You'd be the one to give me tips, if I could make use of them, as is the case for many of the singers here.
TMV World Legacy Member rofleren Posted November 22, 2011 TMV World Legacy Member Posted November 22, 2011 Where is the hair? Other than that- nice singing, you seems to be better than me. Damn you, jävla svenskar. Kidding, you remind me of myself in some way, that is cool. One of my forces, like you, is a good ear and I don't hear enough off-pitching to point at it.
TMV World Legacy Member Snejk Posted November 22, 2011 Author TMV World Legacy Member Posted November 22, 2011 My hair.. Gone.. I was a moron to cut it off.. Silly me =( I regret it every day! Now I look like the prototypical computer nerd But I think you have alot more control over your voice than I do to be honest... :o
