gno
Bob - very likely an allergic histamine response to something in the building. Could be the carpet, wall papter, or mold somewhere that's bugging you. There are more and more Leed certified buildings being built that really watch emmissions of these allergens. Only on days that end in the letter 'y'. Aside from blowing my nose when necessary I remember a trick from Jaime Vendera. Instead of always clearing your throat with a cough or a grunt, swallowing, allowing your lower lip to curl in when you do. Essentially, you are creating a vacuum to pull the phlegm off of the folds. VideoHere
yeah, i guess i have an issue. i'll have to remember to get out of the place for a bit to clear up i guess. are there and other ways? it clears up when i get fresh air. jaaki
I usually get a little exercise, nothing serious, just 10min or so. I'll do a couple of press-ups, maybe a couple of curls. That gets the blood flowing also the breathing.

jaaki
OK, I don't know what caused the phlegm for you, whilst I unfortunately still smoke. So I've tried various ways of getting rid of phlegm, and that is what I've found. So when there is a little build up, I'm not talking about a bucket load here, but enough to cause problems, the exercise seems to release the good kind of mucus (thin kind) in the mouth and down the pipes to cope with increased air intake whilst exercising. This reaction loosens the bad stuff, making it easy to swallow. The trick is to do enough exercise without overdoing it (think marathon ), otherwise you'll be left with a dry mouth. So far I've not found anything that I can drink to get rid of it, I know that really strong spirits like tequila has the same kind of effect, but then you got a whole bunch of other problems, haha

Bob, have you seen an allergy specialist before? They'll test you against all kinds of of potential allergens.
VideoHere
i thought about doing that, but then my concern is they'll say "oh, you are allergic to this" and you need to take this and that and i hate medicinal means for relief.
