Sarit_Aloni
Hey guys and girls. Recently I created my own website for online voice lessons. I must say It is still new to me (trying to teach through Skype for example). I was teaching for the last 15 years but this option came to me only recently. Lately I got a lot of work in teaching (in a normal school of music) but I am interested on being free lancer by working under my own management (independent) This days I live in Italy but next year I believe I will move to another country. So I want to keep myself the possibility to keep on teaching in the new place (Canada). I suggested to Geno (one member of this forum) to try and doing a demo lesson. I would like to have a bit experience with this system and of course I would like to have a video demo to show others. Geno was not very sure about the idea (Geno, where are you? hahah) So I decided to ask here. So guys, I can offer you from my experience working on voice technique. You can get into my site to read about me and to have some idea. Anyway , I guess I will do great with 1 or 2 lessons and will take 3-4 minutes of it for my site as a DEMO. If someone would like to participate in such a thing - Let me know (it is possible to contact me directly through the site "contact me") Thank you all, and of course thank you - The modern Vocalist Forum. Have a great day, guys...

Keith
Sarit, many people in this forum are already students of either a teacher or a coach. Consider that this forum was started and is owned by an awesome vocal coach. Plus, there are several high profile coaches and teachers that are part of the forum community. I guess my point is, you aren't the only teacher (or coach) that is in here asking to give people free help - although most of the ones in here are offering free help for the sake of offering... Have patience, someone will bite.
Sarit_Aloni
Hahaha-- Thank you Keith for your answer.. I know there are a LOT of teachers going up here.. and It is normal. This Forum I might say is an International Forum.. I was just a bit surprised.. But it is ok... About the fact that someone may offer help or not for the sake of it, I don't know how you can judge if I am such one or not. It is kind of offensive I would say. I am glad to help whenever I can... and I have patience alright and I am not worried ... so everything is OK sorry If I was misunderstood.
Administrator Robert Lunte Posted February 20, 2012 Administrator Share Posted February 20, 2012 Well, as we were chatting Sarit, its just a little "weird". People don't really know what to do with it... "free" voice lesson? As Keith was pointing out, there are a lot of people here that are quite serious and knowledgable about singing and the voice and if its "free", it seems strange... My advise is just stand for merits. Your resume is impressive, I saw it. You don't have to offer lessons for free, your talents and experience have a value and people are willing to pay for it. "stick to your guns"... you'll do great. Let me know if you need anything , I'm the founder here and Ill help you if I can. Your sweet...

Validar
LOL. It's funny how it's sometimes difficult to actually give things away for free. I was at a Guns-N-Roses tribute band show last night in a BAR, and a girl tried to give away the rest of her pitcher of beer, which was about 60% full. She couldn't get anyone to take it. (I declined because I don't drink)
Sarit_Aloni
To be more precise, I'm neither offering for the sake of it nor in order to "steal" any student to some other teacher. I need to have some live demonstration on my web-site, likely an English speaking person (in Italy I hardly find that kind of students). Then my "offer" is a simple asking for some collaboration in order to get my website better and clearer. thanks in advance
rofleren
I was reading through this topic hoping that no one else had seen it yet, so I could get a free lesson. I mean, I love to sing and I want as many tips as I can get to help me improve. Though I've been having a cold for almost two weeks now, so if it's a urgent matter, I'm not very useful :)
jonpall
A free lesson sounds appealing but personally, at this moment I don't want to be in a vocal lesson video. Is being in a video a requirement or would you consider giving a free lesson just to get more experience with teaching via Skype? If so, then I'm interested. All the best, jonpall. Sarit_Aloni
My main interest is putting this Demo on my website.. That should give some demonstration and will give me the "experience" I need. I was talking about 1 lesson. Maybe not even a full lesson. But yes, I need it first of all for uploading it to my website...Thanks for your offer :)
Nathan
I'll take it! I don't mind you using me in a video demo. I suck anyway, so it might not necessarily be in your best interest to use me as a showcase of your teaching skills... But yeah... If the offer is still on the table? Let me know... Let me know... nate, buddy, get rid of the "i suck" mentality...it's counterproductive. remember the words of maxwell maltz: "the mind cannot tell the difference between that which is real or vividly imagined." ronws
And some of us have jobs with incredibly long hours and just now had a chance to log in and see what's up. Then again, there's the time change between Italy and, in my case, CDT (Central Daylight Time) in the USA. We are in CDST from March to November, which means we move our clocks ahead 1 hour for that part of the year. Right now, it's 7:18 pm, here in Texas. Anyway, it sounds like skype is a necessity for this, Si mon?
